trail cam battery life

Welcome to the forums. Don't know about the bushnell cams. Use homebrews here with rechargeables, usually change batteries and cards at the cam over our mineral site every 5-7 days outside of season. Have other cams that go for over a month.

Leaf river cams when not set to fast trigger last forever.

I have moultrie 4.0 with 6v and get about 450 pics before battery dies (summertime). Also have wildview that takes about 1200 before the battery goes... each only lasts about 10 days... what cam has best battery life regardless of trigger speed? anyone know anything about the bushnell waddell pimps on tv?

Have the same set-up, but no 6 volt and we get between 450 to 800 before batteries die.

The Moultrie I40 is the best for battery life. Put mine out June haven't changed batteries yet. When I first got it I put it out November 1st and didn't change batteries till late February.

This is a true statement

Leaf river cams when not set to fast trigger last forever.

I get months and months out of my batteries in my Leaf River if I set it to the battery saver mode. Sure the trigger speed is slower, but I have mine set up over a mioneral site or food plot etc so trigger speed is not critical. I usually keep the batteries in it for four to five months, and then just replace them with fresh ones, not because they are dead bur because thay are about half used up. I then finish using the old batteries up in the kids toys and start with a fresh set in the Leaf River just to be sure I always have power when I need it.

My cuddeback capture has good trigger speed.... I get 1200 pics or so on a set during the summer months.... no need to do that recharging junk!... just toss em and put in 4 new D batteries....

I had an older moultrie unit that had the big 6 volt rechargeable battery in it... and absoulutely hated having to recharge it and all that.... plus I could'nt leave it long because I was affraid the battery would die on me.....
