Switchback29A1
Who's shooting which one...and how'd you pick one over the other.
Casey
Personally I like G5 products, so I'd go with the G5 Tekkan. I've heard great things about the Rage broadheads. Remember its all about shot placement.
dawgitall
Trying the rage this year. Don't know much about the Tekan.
Tom2008
Rage has bigger cut. They advertise a cut 1.5" with 3 blade, but they can hyper extend to 2". 2 Blade is advertised at 2" and can hyper extend to 2.5". G5 Tekans are illegal in my state so I don't use them. MichiganHunter
RAGE 2 blade, I was using napa but the rage came out and fell in love...I shot a buck the other year with them and it opened a pop can sized hole in this deer. Either try putting tags around the image URL or in the message box click the little yellow button with the mountains on it and put a URL in the text box. BearClaw
Why are the Tekans illegal in your state? What makes that mechanical different than any other?

Tom2008
Why are the Tekans illegal in your state? What makes that mechanical different than any other? Open up 45 degrees from the main peice rather than 90. Another possible reason is if they lock into place once they are opened. That would make them barbed I guess. This is what DNR says not me. People still use them anyway, but I'll stick with something that I'm sure is legal.

PAarcher
I've shot the 3 blade rage's and my brother shoots the 2 blade. Both do some serious damage, never tried the G5's but the way things are going no reason to switch.
dbHunterNY
I shoot the Rage, because by design the Tekkan is said to be illegal here in NY. They say it's barded when the blades are deployed. You can't use any barbed heads here in NY. I think it'd work fine though.
8ptbuckpa
im shooting tekans, if im not mistaken the original tekans were one of the first to offer the rear deployment design

backwoods07
I have the G5's as a backup broadhead behind my Rage 2 blades. I saw the Tekkan's came out with a somewhat new style this year?! I wonder what the difference is.

They changed them to a flat black finish and now they cut up to 1 1/2" instead of 1 3/8".

8ptbuckpa
the leading fixed blade is a lil smaller to allow for a better penetration
VaTechHunter
I have used both the 3 blade and 2 blade rages and they were great: huge holes and complete pass throughs. It seems a lot of people use the tekans and I'm sure they work great too...I might have to check them out.
JimT
What was the problem with the original Tekan? I remember something being up with it.
