LifeNRA
Chances are that these groups are also ANTI-HUNTING!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- National Organizations With Anti-Gun Policies The following organizations have lent monetary, grassroots or some other type of direct support to anti-gun organizations. In many instances, these organizations lent their name in support of specific campaigns to pass anti-gun legislation such as the March 1995 HCI "Campaign to Protect Sane Gun Laws." Many of these organizations were listed as "Campaign Partners," for having pledged to fight any efforts to repeal the Brady Act and the Clinton "assault weapons" ban. All have officially endorsed anti-gun positions. slugshooter
Re: National Organizations With Anti-Gun Policies!!! Thanks for reposting the list, now I know for sure that I can't go to church, watch sports, watch TV, or go to the movies anymore, or look at a non-gun magazine. One thing I caught was the KC Royals with David Glass as CEO, David Glass used to be a top exec with Wal-Mart, of course,he owns the Royals also, kinda conflicting with him being so invloved with Wal-Mart and him supposedly supporting anti-gun initiatives. The most glaring problem I have with the NRA is they believe that anyone who doesn't believe that an American should be able to own any type of firearm they want automatically wants to take away all firearms.Which is just not the case. I support tougher gun laws and making it tougher to purchase a firearm as well as mandatory safety courses, but it in no way means that I feel all guns should be taken away. There is a difference , unfortunately, the NRA makes no distinction and lumps everyone in the same category. Thats why I don't like the NRA . I would bet that most of the people on those lists own a firearm of some sort

[ QUOTE ] I support tougher gun laws and making it tougher to purchase a firearm as well as mandatory safety courses, [/ QUOTE ] The only thing tougher gun laws will do is make it harder for honest, law abiding citizens to obtain a fire arm. Do you really think gang members get their guns legally? I wonder what the statistics are for crimes committed with legal guns as opposed to illegal ones. I would guess the illegal ones are a part of the majority of crimes. I have to agree with the safety course though, you really should know your gun, inside and out. G-Daddy
Re: National Organizations With Anti-Gun Policies!!! I used to think like sluggo. Now that I have gray in my beard I have come to realize that what he NRA has been saying for years is exactly true. The anti's agenda is to nibble away at our rights. They want us to think that only a few more laws are needed to curb the criminals - what they really want is to make any gunowner/hunter a criminal. Hold firm now or we're setting ourselves up for failure just like England and Australia.

ParrotHead
Re: National Organizations With Anti-Gun Policies!!! [ QUOTE ] Why don't these Individuals just move to Red China or North Korea? Seems they would be happier in one of those two countries. [/ QUOTE ] Why you ask? Leftist liberals always announce that if a Republican is elected president of the United States, they're leaving the country. Then when said Republican is elected or re-elected, they always manage to stay. The reason? The United States is the best **** country in the world, and they know it. Where else will people pay them millions of dollars to entertain us, in spite of their extreme and demented political views? Last year Alanis Morissette pronounced at some Canadian music function that “We live in a land (Canada) where we still think the human body is beautiful and we're not afraid of the female breast." She was, of course, criticizing all of the uproar over Janet Jackson's Super Bowl flash. She also complained about a US radio station that made her change some of the trashy lyrics in one of her songs, saying: "They're in an era when they're scared, when there's lots of fear." Sounds like Ms. Morissette doesn't like the United States very much. Now flash-forward back to a few days ago, she took the oath of citizenship in Los Angeles and is now an American citizen. Speaking of the honor, she said "There was a turning point during the ceremony where I felt connected to this country in a way that I didn't quite expect. America has been really great to me and I have felt welcomed since the day I came here." Why you ask? Because we pay them to come here and we pay them to stay. Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: National Organizations With Anti-Gun Policies! Folks in this thread are saying that because certain businesses, organizations, individuals, etc are included in the list, we are obligated as good 2nd Amendment supporters to boycott them. I would say that its more a case of informing the public so that we can then choose to boycott them, or reduce our interactions with them, or continue on as before. Bottom line is that the NRA isn't telling us what we MUST do, just giving us information to help us make informed decisions.
carbonhunter
Re: National Organizations With Anti-Gun Policies! true point....what question I have is what does everyone do when they gegt the info??? I find it hard to believe we all boycott all these companies?? Who would know that by going to a Cards game...I go to several every year...that I'm giving money to gun orginizations. I'd love to know who they give to, how much, and such. Alot of people donate money and never know where all the money goes.
wtnhunt
Re: National Organizations With Anti-Gun Policies! Remember seeing the list before a few years ago. Was pretty surprised by some of those on the list while not at all surprised by many of those on the list. Have to admit we buy levis, and we have continued to do so despite them being on this list. Would be interesting to see how much "support" these big name supporters actually give, aside from the obvious of them endorsing the anti gun and hunting orgs.
