My girlfriend is going to be spending some time in the field with me this year and probably going to actually hunt next year.

I was wondering where you ladies get your hunting clothes from?? We have found some of the basics, but are having trouble finding some quality cold weather jackets and such.

Are there any special womens hunting websites or online catalogues to browse....???

Any ideas would be much appreciated!!!

Thanks gals!

Exactly what Ruth said! Hunting clothing for women is very hard to come by but are becoming more popular. With that being said, what clothes I have seen made for women just simply aren't AS good as what's offered for men, especially when it comes to cold weather.

This however creates a new problem.... since men don't have much when it comes to hips or a butt - when trying on pants. :clown: I also have trouble finding a coat that fits my arms as the sleeves are always way too long and baggy which causes me problems when trying to shoulder my shotgun/rifle.

You just need to take her to a Cabela's, Gander Mountain or somewhere else and try a bunch of clothes on until she finds something that fits and keeps her warm! The last thing you want is for her to have a bad experience in the field because of her clothing, especially if she's never gone before. I've been there before, as I'm sure you have too and it's NOT fun.

Good luck! :D

I get the majority of my hunting clothes from Cabela's. They are starting to offer more women's clothes here lately. I have had the same troubles as the other ladies on here but the key is comfort. "She Safari" has a great line of womens hunting clothes but they are so darned expensive compared to Cabela's, Gander Mountain, etc...

The best thing is to make it a shopping trip for her. Girls love to shop and it would be a fun day for you two to share together. Good luck.

BTW, you might suggest she become a member on here. This forum has a wealth of information and it might help her to talk to some other women hunters.

Thanks for the info ladies!

She went to Gander and found what she needed, so I think she is all set for whatever mother nature can dish out...within reason of course lol.

I never realized how little was available for women as far as hunting clothing goes, hopefully it becomes more available in the future.

Thanks again and good luck this season!!
