starts tomorrow morning.

So, I decided I wanted to take a Higher education class for one of the programs I am drawing with while I am designing all this nuclear stuff. So I began to research and found a class I thought I could benefit from in Portland Oregon. Talked with the boss and he said, get it all planned and the comany will pay for it!!! Sweet!

The class is a 5 day class that is held on Tuesday and Wednesday, then the following week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The boss, says, "no big deal, just stay over there for the "break" in the middle of the class, the company's got it." Once again, Awesome!

So, tomorrow morning I head to Budget to pick up my rental car and head to Portland midday tomorrow. Class Tuesday and Wednesday.

Wednesday night, heading up to Tacoma Washington and staying there, Thursday and Friday night. Saturday, I will be traveling to the Coast to hopefully stay at Cannon Beach for the weekend and heading back to Portland on Sunday night. Class again, Monday, Tuesday and ending Wednesday.

So, I am making a "buisness" trip into a pretty sweet paid for vacation. I am looking forward to getting out of the office for a while, but I think by late next week I will be ready to get back home.

And to top it all off, the Thursday when I get back my Mom and Dad are flying out here and bringing my 89 year old Granny!!!! She has never been on a plane, so this will be her first time in the air. She is pumped up and so I am.

So, expect some pics.

I will try and keep this thread updated with pics as time allows me to get online at the hotels.

Oh yeah, did I mention, it is all paid for by the company!

Sounds great!

You need to bring your parents and grandmother over here when they come out! The only problem is with a crew like that, you would have to stay in the motel! LOL!

I would love to bring them but Granny has never seen a "Big" mountain or the pacific ocean, so we are going to go up shinook pass past Rainier then down to Mount St. Helens. Then on Saturday go out to Cannon beach and come back through Portland and through the Columbia Gorge back to Richland. I am going to try and get dad to come back out by himself so him and I can head over your way and wonder around the gravel roads, hopefully I can get him back out here soon for that.

Sounds like a good plan!

Well, I made it into Portland. It took me 6 hours to get here which is about twice as long as it should have taken me. We will just say I went the really really long way. Stopped at some waterfalls and a fish hatchery. I will get pics from today uploaded this evening sometime. Right now, its time to find a bar/pub for a good ol club sandwich and a cold one....

Well, just got done with the first day of class! Went good and learned a lot. Got through 192 pages of a 500 page book, so we are making good time. Tomorrow I head to class again from 8am-5pm, then once I am done with class I head up the road 2.5 hours to Tacoma Washington to our sister office for tow days. Hopefully I will be able to make it to Cabelas on the way before its too late. I will post what pics I take hopefully tomorrow night.

Also, as far as the avatar, here is another pic of her......

Time for another update...

This will be my last night in Tacoma Washington. I am so ready to get out of here. This city is Huge, its pretty much an extension of Seatle. I worked at the office here till about 2 when I decided I had had enough and needed to get out. I remembered seeing a Cabelas about 30 minutes before I got into town so I decided to go and find it. It ended up being in Lacey, WA, which is between Olympia and Tacoma. Here are some pics from the store and also one of the Mt Rainier overlooking Tacoma....

I have also learned some things while on this trip, here is a list...

1. I will take my 92 yota anyday over a 08 chevy impala!

2. I will never buy I rental car that I have driven.

3. If you are ever in Washington and happen to meet a flight attendant from South Carolina, DO NOT TELL HER YOU ARE ALSO FROM SOUTH CAROLINA! This was a huge mistake, she is/was psycho!!!

4. Do not leave any hotel room keys on the bar where you are eating dinner. Refer to lesson #3.

5. Never trust a hotel Iron.

6. Always bring yours from home(which I did for back-up)

7. Do not have your phone turned up as loud as it goes when you ringer is Ducks while in Cabelas!!!

8. Do not try and feed only one seagull.

9. Do not say a word to the bell boys, they will take that as a invite to talk your head off for hours!

10. Do not say yes to the question, "Would you like a key to the bar in your room"

Saturday (tomorrow) morning I will be heading out of Tacoma and going to Cannon Beach for the day and ending up back in Portland till Wednesday night when I can finally go home. I am so ready to be back in Richland!
