He was on some land that he had permission to hunt on, but he found out this past spring that the owner is now leashing it out. So he needs my help bringing them down. We will go in and get the last one down later. I feel bad for my friend. He is trying to get his daughter her first deer, and his close friend goes off leases out the property, never told his friend he did this, he had to find out through another guy. I guess I should have made a better post with a topic like " land going fast" Sorry to get bent out of shape. Something about that rubs me the wrong way...I don't know if it is the fact that a close friend leased my hunting ground right out from under me, or the fact that he leased it from me and didn't have the marbles to tell me - much less even ask me if i would have been interested...Maybe both. I found out from the owner of property I've been hunting on for many years now that this will be my last year to hunt because he is leasing it to an outfitter. I'll be taking my daughter there this October to deer hunt for the first time. She's eight. At least I will not have to worry about telling her to give a buck one more year to get bigger. He didn't tell the guy who payed $2,500.00 about some of the other property he has. That right there made me a little mad, cause he's screwing the guy who paid the money. A friend would have asked your buddy if he would be interested in leasing the land with him to keep somone else from doing what he's done. It's pretty obvious to me that your friend's so called friend (loose term) leased it to take it over from your friend. He may not have been interested in the other tracts he didn't lease. Just the tract your friend had hunted. Those other tracts would have cost him more $. Your friend sure needs to call that other guy and tell him how he really feels about this.
