Chenango Dave
Not sure of the story on this guy, be neat to know how it happened though. Nice young one. Twins - I had my camera focus area screwed up- somehow I knocked it so it was focusing not on the center dot - but the top center.. so it was actually focusing behind he fawns. And another horizon shot with corn in the foreground Take care Dave

Jakapr
deer Great looking pictures Dave. I took one of the buck and opened to check the EXIF, but it wasn't there. I was going to see what fstop and speed you were at plus the ISO. were these with the 200-400 or the 70-200? Jack
Stone Cold
LOL That one horn with the deformaty on the other side is way out. I think he was in my area I found a shed that looks just like what he has now. It has a stub then grows down and out with a total of three points. Very nice and thought I was looking at the deer that is my area! Too funny!
Chenango Dave
Thanks guys, Yeah I know Jack - I wanted to go back and look at some of the EXIF info and I noticed it wasn't there. I figured out that everytime I run my Denoise program on my photos- it strips the Exif. Not sure if I can fix that or not. Anyway these were taken with the 200-400 and a couple were quite heavy crops.

Tominator
Good stuff Dave. As for the buck, I'd guess he knocked the developing antler on something as it was growing. Bet that hurt. :crutch: I like the 1st fawn pic best. :cool2:
buckee
Great pictures as always Dave. Sometimes a buck will grow weird antlers like that if it got injured somewhere on it's body during antlers development. All the nutrition goes into healing, instead of antler growth. If I'm not mistaken, whatever side the weird antler growth is on, is the side the injury is on also. I've seen a few bucks that were hit by cars, but survived and grew some weird antlers that same year.
