Garden time again.

Just pulled up the last of my tomatoes, okra, and peppers even though they were still blooming just a bit. Picked up some multiplying onions, collards, mustard and turnips to put in the bed. Anyone else putting out some greens?

NOPE!

I'm talkin bout eatin' greens! My experience says that there's better things to plant for deer than turnips, but like you, we always put out a few pounds in the hopper too.

This is only my second year planting turnips, but they seemed to be a big hit. As far as the garden thing goes, One of my plots grew turnips so well last year that my grandmother came and got em out of my plot instead of getting the ones from her garden.

We put a good many in the camp yard to have a mess or two to cook, but the deer always eat them. Should be able to get winter peas this year, they were in short supply last year.

If I catch the stinkin dog that's digging up my stuff, there's going to be some wailing going on! This is going to be twice this week, they're going through the fence....grrrrrrrr. :hammer1:
