sluggunner
Are any of you guys or gals into old vintage tractors like I am? I would really like to own one some day. My personal favorite is the Farmall model M and the Farmall Cub. I recently went to an antique tractor show and here are some photos of some that were rebuilt to look better than the day they rolled off the factory assembly line. The first one is a Foed 8N or 9 N (My father in law's personal favorite.) The last two are of a cute little Farmall Cub that would be a blast to play around with. I hope you enjoy them. Strut10
The last two are of a cute little Farmall Cub that would be a blast to play around with. A blast as long as you don't have any hills. The Cub is one of the (if not the most) dangerous tractors to put on a hill. The "wide side/narrow side" offset rowcrop setup is a nightmare to operate narrow side downhill. Also, the early ones like in your pic have band brakes. They don't like to stop very well when backing downhill. We had a 1948 Cub and a 1978 Cub. I put gazillions of hours on both and am glad for Kubotas. Besides that........I do love the old iron...........as long as I don't have to use it to do any work. New stuff is sooooo much more user-friendly. I'd love to have an old styled John Deere G...........just to drive over town on a Sunday morning to get a coffee.
backwoods07
The previous owner of our farm left us a 93 Deere 540 frontloader. That's about as old as I can handle

SchuLace
My dad has a 1951 Case VAC Row crop that was his grandpas first brand new tractor. We haven't run it in over 15 years but this next summer we are going to pull it out and get it going again. When my dad was 4 he had his pinkie cut off on a fan blade from a 8N. joeaveragehunter
Nice pics. I have a 68' oliver 550 and I wouldn't trade it for a new anything. There is something about them that makes ya feel alive everytime you fire them up and hook up the three point attachments.
Tominator
I have a 1963 Oliver 770 that's heading to a restorer hopefully around November or December. It's going to cost me about $3,000 more than it's worth, but I guess you can't put a value on sentiment. It will look very similar to this one:

Strut10
Yunz got these up in them thar hills? Mebbe. We just ain't got no use fer 'em 'cause we don't own no purty tractors. Just ones that work. No use to hose off a machine that'll just go and git dirty again.
