Turkeygirl
Sorry, no photos yet, unless he's paid a visit to my trail cam! Last night I drove over and hikedu p to sit by the edge of an alfalfa field where I was squirrel hunting the other night and had seen alot of deer. Well 4 does and a small 3 pointer showed up and fed for quite a while. I had my camera and was trying to get some photos. Well this doe walks up behind me in the woods, was probably 20-30 yards away and stood there stomping and snorting forever. The deer in the field looked but didn't do anything until an ATV on a neighboring farm came out to chase cows in, so the deer went in. Well I sat there another 1/2 hour or so, decided to walk down, check this other field then head to the car. Well in the 10-15 minutes that I was gone checking the other field (a small 4 point in that one), 2 bucks came out in that field! As I headed back and rounded the corner, I saw 2 deer way back up in the corner, so I pull up the binoculars and I see a very tall rack..not alot of tines but very tall, not sure if it was Dagger or some other buck, and right next to him was probably his grandfather, lol. Gorgeous bucl, wide rack at least out to his ear tips, big white tines...it was getting dark so hard to tell, but he must be between an 8 and a 10 I'd say... My trail cam is on the other side of the property where there's a bunch of scrapes being worked...so I hope maybe he shows up there...otherwise I may be moving my camera! He's a brute that's for sure. Come on October 17!! Here's a few photos from last night:

Turkeygirl
Well, figuring that the last 3 years my archery buck has come from those woods (in the first photo we have a stand about 50 yards inside the woods from the left corner), maybe this year the big one will come...hee hee. Will probably stick my trail cam up there at some point and see what happens...see if that is his home area for the pre-rut...
