Adjam5
That dang ad that rolls down and covers the first post of the page on the right? This has been a ROYAL PITA for quite some time and I was wondering if it can be fixed or altered so one could read the entire story without guessing what is covered by that ad? Everyone know what I am talking about? Does this bother anyone else?
toddyboman
Yeah I know what your saying.....Some post it covers some it doesn't. Usually the problem I see is when someone post a pictures that is to big. The add covers part of the story then. Here is an example: http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90414 seems some of the pics are big so it makes the main posters post bigger and the add covers part of their story. NY_Bowhunter14
Same problem here also... Isn't doing it right now, but it was earlier...
woolybear
Always fun to try to fill in the blanks huh? Pic size is important in this instance. Far as I can tell, photobucket takes care of that for me without much doing on the computer smart side.
ruttinbuc
I can certainly agree with you, Anthony! I am still wondering about the big black borders. Plenty of room for ads in there. No?
wtnhunt
Only problems I ever see where the banner covers the text is with pics that are too large, this is something that is an issue with blogs as well. We mods really have nothing to do with that Anthony, however it could be brought to Scott's attention. Guess the admin could possibly implement some sort of resizing or limitations to pics that get posted here.
Tominator
I don't know if anything can be done Anthony, but one way around it is if you quote the post that you want to read you will be able to read the entire post in your response window, if that makes any sense. Then you can just back out of that screen if you don't actually want to respond to the post.
Ohiobucks
Guess the admin could possibly implement some sort of resizing or limitations to pics that get posted here. Or put the banner ad somewhere else on the page. Shouldn't be that big of a deal, just getting them to realize that there is a problem should be all it takes. JimT
Yup...thats a pain. Thought it was just my pc. Guess not......
GWSmith
I've been using the work-around that Chris mentioned to see the "Covered Text" for awhile and have gotten used to it. An auto resizing feature would make it alot easier for some people though. I personally would be happy if the color drop down menu worked the way it's supposed to. What you see in the pic below is all I ever see of the color selection menu for text. It may very well be just my computer that's doing it but I've never thought to ask until now. (for those with photobucket filters-all I'm seeing is a very small blank box under the color selection box for text with zero colors in it)

(for those with photobucket filters-all I'm seeing is a very small blank box under the color selection box for text with zero colors in it) The color issue has been brought up before Gary as well as some other issues with default settings for the number of days that different rooms display(some show 2 days, some a week, and some a month), would be kind of nice if some rooms like the youth room had longer times. Guess maybe we can bring this thread to Clint's attention for him to look at this stuff again.

redkneck
It is a pain, but I've only noticed it with oversized pics.
ruttinbuc
You can hit enter after each line of the text when you post with a larger picture. That keeps the banner away from covering the text, but not everyone knows that. It is also a little old reading the "time to migrate to blogging thread". (Users joiurnal) While we are at it. Maybe a room for Trail cam pictures ONLY...why not?
buckee
That ad gets in the way when the pictures in the post are too large.

Adjam5
Good tip Chris about quoting the text and reading it like that . Thanks. I didn't mean to open up a can of worms. Thought it was something simple to fix.
Tom2008
Just limit the picture size to 800x600 and all will be fine. Pictures shouldn't be allowed to be bigger than that anyway. Takes longer for some computers to load large pictures especially if there are a bunch of them. This photo resizer is really handy for shrinking pictures down. You can do tons of pictures at once and do other advanced options with editing pictures and it is free. I've been using if for a few years now with no problems. http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm Edited September 17, 2009 by Tom2008
