hyperflow
if you really wanna "upgrade" switch to a bowtech :flex:
redkneck
Man, ya gotta sell it now, you told him you would! hehe Gotta be careful when you name your price, ya never know when someone's going to reach for the back pocket and take you up on it. Sounds like a high price for a used switchback (bare).
Dawg
Upgrades are good.......I'd do it.

dawgitall
Upgrades are sweet. I remember when I upgraded to my Switchback. I still have not upgraded again. If its something you really want, go for it. Just make sure it's worth changing right before the season; remember the season is about underway. I will upgrade again oneday and when I do, yes, it will be a Matthews! Remember; second place is just the first loser!
woolybear
When I opened this thread I thought it would be a tactical question. Keep your proven killer chief.
backwoods07
Heck yea! I wish I could upgrade, so I guess I'll have to live through you for now.
pointing_dogs_rule
First, if you are comfortable and shoot well with the switchback then keep that old friend. I once "upgraged" and shot worse with the new bow. Had to buy another. "Upgrades" are NOT always the best choice. SECOND; IS THIS THE BOW THAT HAD THE BROKEN LIMB THAT YOU WROTE ABOUT JUST A SHORT TIME AGO. You better inform him of that previous problem. I believe that this was you. good luck to all the dog

hoosierhunter
If he's giving you 500 for a bare used switchback sell it now!!!!! Heck you could go buy that same bow cheaper somewhere else....
Turkeygirl
Wow, sounds like a pretty good offer, $500! If you have time to get the new bow ready before hunting season, I'd say go for it!

dbHunterNY
Well I guess it depends on if you're ready for a new bow and if you don't have that cash lined up for something else. It sounds like a nice circumstance though. I'd shoot them both (Reezen and Monster) before you ditch your switchback. Some people I know wouldn't trade their switchback for anything. I'm sure you'd check things out first though.

I once "upgraged" and shot worse with the new bow. Had to buy another. "Upgrades" are NOT always the best choice. the dog Yep...Before you get rid of your current bow, i would make darn sure you can shoot whatever you are looking to buy as good, if not better, than what you shoot now. I had the same experience as The Dog...make sure you are making the right decision for what you are doing, not for what you want to use doing it...If you can shoot a new bow great, then go for it. Good luck!
fly
If this guy is a friend I'd inform him that he could get the same thing cheaper, but if he still wants it I'd sell and upgrade.
woodsman2230
If that happened to me, I would definately do it. Especially if I had some extra cash lying around.

VaTechHunter
I upgraded from my Ross Cardiac to a Mathews Reezen and I was really happy with that move. I really liked my Cardiac, but my brother bought a DXT, so I decided to switch over to a Mathews. I wish I could sell my old bow for that price with it fully loaded, but I don't think people know as much about Ross bows to get decent money for it.
