Though she does not go out very often I've been blessed with a Wife that does hunt. Early on I made sure though that hunting would never be a problem...I was hunting out of state and talked to her on the phone every night on the cell phone while we were dating. She knew what she was getting into and got her hunters ed certificates a few years ago. I am still looking forward to keeping the promise I made her..."I'll drag out any deer you kill".

Yep! I got my lady involved after only being with her for about one year. Her third time out she slayed one with her bow and has been pretty hooked since...and that was 4 years ago. She isn't as hard core (or stupid as some might see it) as i am, but she likes to go. She goes by herself sometimes too, but thats usually after i keep calling her and telling her the weather is perfect, its late october, or november, anything can happen, she needs to go, if i wasn't at work i would go bla bla bla...She has been duck hunting, goose hunting, dove hunting, archery deer, shotgun deer and squirrel hunting with me...Her favorite is bowhunting. Heck, she even likes to hang stands with me...Its a pretty sweet deal, and i consider myself a very lucky man.

Well I don't have a boyfriend so the answer is nope....and if/when I have a boyfriend/husband...he'd better darn well hunt,lol!

I love Ruth's answer ..LOL :clown:

My wife has just started hunting with me, and I absolutely love having her out with me. It just makes it that much more special when you see or hear things and have someone to share it with. Even just sitting in silence together, concentrating on a shared purpose has it's own rewards.

Next saturday my gilfriend and I will be together for a year. I first met her at a party a month or so before i started dating her. I came down to missoula to bowhunt for elk with a buddy that went to school down here. I called her up and met up with her after our day hunt. She has gone hunting with her friends in highschool but was just along for the ride basically. Well She went hunting with me during rifle season a few times last year and said that she always wanted to shoot a deer but no one would take her. So over Christmas break she took hunter safety and passed with flying colors. I bought her a full set of Realtree AP camo for her birthday and a couple weeks ago i bought her a Stainless/Synthetic Ruger Hawkeye 270. She watches hunting shows with me all the time and is constantly askin me questions about hunting. One that she seems to ask more than any other is "What will you do if i shoot a bigger buck than you?" Or "What if i shoot a state record buck, and you shoot a little one?" Lol I just remind her that Im her guide and she needs to be nice to me. But lately she has been wanting to learn how to shoot a bow. So i guess that is next on the list of things to teach her. I just love teaching her about the sport/tradition that is my obcession.

I do know a few guys that don't want their girlfriends or wives with them cause they see it as a vacation from them.

As much as me and my wife love each other we do still get on each others nerves from time to time, so in a way it is nice to have something we do seperatly once in a while. To be honest when hunting season comes along I really realize

how lucky I am.

Man how'd you guys get significant others that like to hunt?!?! Mine doesn't......

yet, which is why I'm slowly training her. I got her a new Diamond Edge bow a year or so back. She's into it enough where she's hoping to pull more and maybe try hunting. She wants to trick out her arrows with 'pretty purple, pink, and zebra designs' and also wants to fish at some point. I may have a blonde haired, blue eyed, monster buck slayer in the works. I'm happy as long as she allows me to enjoy the outdoors without contestation and if she acquires an addiction for the outdoors like myself that's even better.

My wife went turkey hunting with me a couple times, but hasn't went the past couple years and I don't ask anymore. She's not really into it so I see no need of pressing the issue. My 8 year old daughter and 7 year old son like it. My daughter will be deer hunting in a few weeks during the IL youth season! Me and the wife always have fly fishing!

for those who have significant others that hunt with you or support your hunting, how i wish i were you.. my girlfriend should be a peta spokes person, she hates all that go's with hunting and thinks its nothing but a waste of money, im still hearing about the money i spent going out west.

What girlfriend was that????;):hammer1::clown:

'bout the time she tries to change you it's time to change her...LOL

My girlfriend is from the city. We started getting serious and she saw how involved I was with hunting. I took her on a deer hunt from a ground blind in a spot I new she would see deer. She liked it we saw lots of deer and a few bucks. She is now the camera woman! Just started getting her into shooting smaller caliber guns. Now she wants to try archery out. I tell you what for a city girl she is a dead eye.
