AceArcher
My wife hates hunting!! She also hates watching football, drinking beers, smoking cigs & and chasing women. All things I love. Thank God that the sexes are different.
ildrhntr
Nope my wife doesn't do the outdoor scene at ALL. However she doesn't have any complaints about me doing it which is a good thing.
swohiodave
my girlfriend loves to eat and cook deer... i have asked her a few times if she would want to go hunting but says she doesn't think she could shoot one. Her daughter tries to play with the deer when I bring one home. I think they both will end up going with me at some point but it will not be until I find a spot that I feel pretty sure that they will see lots of deer in. arrow32
I'm slowly getting my girlfriend into hunting now. Got her a bow there not to long ago and she loves shooting it. Now just got to get her to put the smack down on a big old doe or buck.
elkoholic
Got the wife into hunting, both gun and bow, as soon as possible and 30+ plus years later, I do not regret it. My daughter also hunts. I do know a few guys who use hunting season as an escape/vacation from their wives. They think the women will spoil their "man time". Personally, I would rather spend some quality outdoor time with the wife or daughter than with the "guys".
camoman1
My girly friend is just getting into this hunting stuff now. She has sat with me bowhunting and duck/goose hunting. She has bought some camo clothes and started shooting an old bow of mine and is signed up for hunter ed for this october. I do enjoy being out there by myself sometimes, and she knows that and always says that if I want to go alone, shes ok with that. Or she will just sit a different spot than me. Mach1
My wife didn't grow up in a family that hunted. Once we got together, I got her to go out and sit with me and take the video camera while I was bowhunting. I made sure it was fairly early in the season when the weather was nice so she didn't get cold or wet. She doesn't go everytime I go out, but she still goes when the weather is decent. A few years back I got her to take her hunter's safety course and she started deer hunting with a 20ga. She's been going along with a gun for a couple years now, but is yet to put her tag on a deer. She likes going as long as there are no bugs, it's not raining, and it's not too cold. So basically, she only goes with me from about the 3rd week of October through our second gun season in late Nov./early Dec. :clown: She went along turkey hunting once a couple years ago, but wasn't able to go last year due to the birth of our son right in the middle of turkey season. I doubt I'll ever get her out there for any type of waterfowl hunting. She's only been fishing a couple of times with us and we always have to take any fish she catches off the hook for her. BobRooney
Why? Why buy all the gear for her to hunt for an hour, which is how long it would take her to want to go home, and regret every minute of it? I'd rather take my 5yr old. Oh...love you honey! My fault. She is too busy watching One Tree Hill. Edited September 20, 2009 by BobRooney
redkneck
As much as me and my wife love each other we do still get on each others nerves from time to time, so in a way it is nice to have something we do seperatly once in a while. I'm with Muddy My wife has hunted with me a time or two over the years, but didnt fall for it. Nowadays I take the girls and they absolutely love everything about it. But there's times when I leave them at home too. I like the solitude. I don't golf, don't fish an awful lot, pretty much it's just deer season that I'm spending much time away from home, and she respects that (I guess she respects it, she really doesnt have a choice

ruttinbuc
Still looking for a girl that is into the outdoor lifestyle. All I seem to attract are women looking for a mall puppy...sigh!
joeaveragehunter
It was my gf's first time out this weekend and loved it. I thought it could be a hassle, but it makes me think about my decisions (stand sites, safety, and ethics) when I go over everything with her. Definitely a positive. m gardner
My wife hunts and camps with me. If it's a rough hunt I'll draw the tag and hunt alone though. She's pretty tough though. If it's not above 9000 feet and the terrain is fairly flat (on the top not the sides) she loves to go. We'll live in a wall tent of some sort with a woodstove and kitchen and bunk beds. It's a cozy setup. Mark
Spring Tom
My wife does not hunt, but loves to fish. I look forward to taking her and the kids. Hunting is one good time for me to be quiet, calm my world down a little from the hectic pace.
