aujack
Friday evening i finally made it happen. After a depressing first weekend of deer season (i didnt see a single deer in 4 hunts) i tried it again the second weekend. I was sitting on a 1 acre pea patch and at about 7:45 3 big mature does walk out at 105 yards. my first thought is that i am never going to get a shot im just going to watch them feed until dark out of range.. well one of them begins walking my way and i keep ranging her at: 69; 57; 42 HOLY CRAP SHES IN RANGE! and shes still walking directly to my tree next thing i know she is broadside at 18 yards!!!!!! so i for some odd reason was pretty calm lol and drew back and steadily took my shot and DROPPED HER IN HER TRACKS! it was one of the mostexciting hunting experiences ever. and the funny thing was that my dad wasnt even with me he was at a football game scouting for my high school team and as soon as i calmed down i called him and he didnt answer ha i thought it was hilarious that hear i am with my first bow kill on the ground and he doesnt answer when i call to tell him. i left him a message that said "hey i have a story call me back" and about an hour later he called back and asked if i had seen anything and i laughed told him the story. it was a great hunt and i was pumped! I cant wait to get my second one with a bow!
