Swamphunter
I need some good rainwear to wear over my archery clothes. My regular hunting clothes are allegedly waterproof, although I am disappointed in them. I have the MT050 and they are a far cry from "waterproof". They are more like water resistant. I find that when I am sitting or kneeling on snow or something wet, when I get up I am wet. Is this normal with supposedly "waterproof" clothing? Now, back to the rainwear for archery.. I just want something light, that I can slip over my hunting clothes when it is raining. Any ideas? Thanks

wtnhunt
Re: Rainwear?? Ken, the dry plus parka I have is great. It sheds water really well. As far as sitting on snow or water, I dont have any problems getting wet with my bibs either. They are also dry plus. Would think water resistant or weather proof clothes should keep you dry. 10acboy
Re: Rainwear?? I bought some light weight field and stream rainwear from Dicks last year. It seems like it is made well. I wore it only a couple of times last year and I stayed dry. It's also that quite fiber stuff which works pretty well unless your tangled in briars up to your neck. I think they were like $150 and I got them at the end of the season for $75.
LifeNRA
Re: Rainwear?? [ QUOTE ] Get you some Camo Frog Togs! [/ QUOTE ] I dont ever remember seeing them in camo? Swampy, why dont you call Cabela's about this. My MT050's are waterproof, they are Gore-Tex! I am sure if you would send them back, they will replace them. Heck, I heard they take anything back! Thats what I would do, after you spent all that cash! I also have some Sterns rain wear in Realtree Hardwoods too!
wtnhunt
Re: Rainwear?? Yeah, I was thinking the same thing Ken. I would give cabelas a call. The gore tex should keep you dry, and if it is not, maybe they are somehow defective. Dont know how, but would call anyways.

Don't know if it's the exact thing without having the catalog in front of me. Cabela's Link

Guest J_Owens_66
Re: Rainwear?? Dry plus or Gortex will do the trick. I think the Cabelas Dry Plus the best though.

njbowhntr
Re: Rainwear?? I spent a week in Quebec in Cabela's Rain Suede. I rain just about everyday at some point in time, and snowed at others. I stayed very dry. Was very impressed. Here is a link to the jacket. They also have matching bibs. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templa...ainCatcat470076
