Muleyman
Hey guys. I found this on some website and I thought it was an awesome idea. It is really cheap and easy to make. What I did was I got a weasel ball and took the top half off and attached the weasel part to the bottom half and drilled a hole in the bottom and stuck a welding rod in it. At the bottom half of the welding rod there is another welding rod for more support. I wrapped string around and glued the string down. I have a base on the bottom. I wrapped part of a towel around the half a ball or you can spay paint it. I have'nt tried it yet but when I do I will let you know how it works. If any of you make one I would like to here how it works.
GWSmith
What is it supposed to do? I'm not a predator hunter and have no idea.
Muleyman
You are calling with a distress call so they will see this decoy wobling like a dead animal so then they will come within range and you will get time for a shot. woolybear
That thing looks like an old lamp I used to have in one of my appartments. Sure the cats would have enjoyed that. Don't count on me to build one of them anytime soon, lol
Adjam5
What is it supposed to do? I'm not a predator hunter and have no idea. Gary, it gives a visual, in addition to the audio played or sound blown to keep the predators attention off of you. It helps to make good coyotes. I have a FoxPro Jack in the box that is remote controlled. It essentially does the same thing, just with a remote. Cool decoy there Muley. They work! GWSmith
Thanks guys...I never went out just for predators before. I probably should though. Last season I field dressed out a doe late in the evening and when I came back to that spot early the next morning everything was gone! redkneck
IMHO predator hunting is one of the most challenging of all persuits. I've used decoys, but never moving ones. A guy told me he had a lot of success using one of those bumble balls you used to see for kids that bounced all around. He'd cover it with a hide and away she'd go. Like Anthony said, they can really help seal the deal to bring them out in the open.
