Prairiepredator
I am wanting to get a stabilizer for my bow, because I still have not decided which one to get. I like a stabilizer around the 5-7 inch area, that adds a nice amount of weight to your bow, and does a really good job of silencing and getting rid of any vibration. What kind of hunting stabilizer would you guys recommend?
GWSmith
I kept the length of the Stabilizer on my bow like you see below. It gave me what I wanted without much in the way of anything. I think the total length was around 5-1/2"
joeaveragehunter
I have shot with a stabilizer and without. i just don't like the feel of my new reezen with a stabilizer on it. Feels to front heavy. Dont want to discourage... just sharing.
RangerClay
You may want to try your question in the archery room. You will probably get a better response.
wtnhunt
You may want to try your question in the archery room. You will probably get a better response. How about if a mod moves it. lol. Use a 5 inch doinker woodsman here. No complaints.
backwoods07
I use a 3" stabilizer, I think it's made by Tru Glo. You might want to rethink getting a big, bulky, heavy one. You don't want anything getting in the way of some of the shots you might have the opportunity to take. IMO, the more compact and lighter the bow is, the better (within reason, of course). One of these days I know I'm gonna have to hold a draw for a long period of time. I want to be prepared.

arrow32
mine from the riser to the tip of the stablizer is just under 12 inches. Rather long but I like it. At times it can be a pain witgh it being that long. But haven't had any real problems yet. Oh and its home made.
m gardner
I really don't like one on my hunting bow. To work well they really need to be longer so they are in the way. Mark
LifeNRA
I have the LimbSaver Modular Stabilizer, I like the feel of the bow as some call it front heavy. When you draw it back, I think it makes the bow more stable, but thats just me.

Tony
stabilizers vary from bow to bow and shooter to shooter. each shooter determines what works best for them. so to say which one would be best is hard to say, because you might not like one with a lot of weight forward. the new ones from Doinker work really well. also some of the Simms stabilizers work great also. heres my setup for hunting, its a Bomar stabilzer and its 11.7 inches long. i have also added a Simms Enhancer 2000 to it. this provides me with a little more weight and helsp me hold the bow steadier. yes its a lot longer than most bowhunters like, but i sure havent had an problems using it for the last 8 years.. bluelund79
Doinker A bomb on my Turbohawk. To my hands it deadened it the best for me. To me stabs are trial and error on different bows.
