mikewink
This add was on Craigslist locally, my buddies and I got a kick out of it. Hunt my 20 acre farmette in wausaukee for?? There are 5 apple trees and 3 plum trees on my property. They are vey old and the deer have been coming back to eat from them for generations. I can show you all the tracks in my garden, they are even been eating some of my green tomatos. By the looks of my garden I have been fattening up the deer all summer. Please email with your hunting plans, how many people and what you have to barter, cash offers welcome. I can not guarantee that you shoot a deer, because you might be a lousy shot. But you will see them if you are out at sunrise. Thanks
fenderhunt4
That's funny...and sad. Everybody wants to make a dollar nowadays if they are going to let anyone hunt!
Orion_70
That's funny...and sad. Everybody wants to make a dollar nowadays if they are going to let anyone hunt! Couldn't agree more! What happened to the good old days when neighbors asked you to come hunt their property, all they wanted in return, if anything, was some venison or maybe some help around the property...... Adjam5
That is funny. But times are tough, people are being creative in ways to possibly earn a few dollars. What the hunter has to barter is the increase in vegetable production by eliminating some of the deer. I'd offer the guy some meat and if it is legal...why not hunt? GWSmith
I agree with Adjam5...times are tough and the good thing is this person whoever they are at least see the deer as a resource;)
woolybear
To me it sounds like a creative add to get under the skin of some hunters while using them to the original poster, and hunters benefit. Win, win situation for both parties if you ask me. Doesn't sound like the poster is asking much other than honesty and a little something in return for their graciousness. I'd inquire. PotashRLS
Sounds like a good deal. Wausaukee is in our School's Conference. Played a lot of ball up there. I bet that guy is 80 years old and just looking for someone to help keep them out of his garden. But then again, would he be on the internet on Craig's List? Interesting. camoman1
That's funny...and sad. Everybody wants to make a dollar nowadays if they are going to let anyone hunt! Kinda like an Outfitter..?? Im guessing that it shouldnt be too hard to convince someone to come a whack a few deer...even if it costs a few bucks or some misc help around the joint. Interesting ad for sure.
mikewink
Actually we got a kick out of the quote "I can not guarantee that you shoot a deer, because you might be a lousy shot.
