woolybear
I'm wondering why they just come out of nowhere. Nobody clocked me today, but my shirts covered in blood none the less. It's starting to worry me some.. Been happening for the past week or so now. No isurance and no primary dr... now what?
Alisha
Just curious.. have you had your blood pressure checked lately? One of my former supervisors kept getting bloody noses and ended up finding out he had high blood pressure. I'm sure Ruth can add more light to this and help you out. raw7199
A good friend of mine used to get them a lot like that. He ended up having to have surgery to fix it. Don't know what it really was but it doesn't happen anymore.
stevebeilgard
they happen more at altitude, and i live at 4500 feet. anyway, i only get bloody noses when i talk back with my wife. lol
sskybnd
i used to get them all the time when i was little, and got hot, the doc said that the blood vessels were to close to the top of the lining in my nose and would break when over heated, i guess you grow out of it or the lining gets tough enough to hold the pressure

RangerClay
Are you taking a lot of aspirin lately? Blood thinners will cause a bloody nose.
bfletch7441
Dry climates will cause them too. Ben
wtnhunt
Are you taking a lot of aspirin lately? Blood thinners will cause a bloody nose. Yep, was thinking the same thing. Have never really had any problems with bloody noses here, even when busted in the nose I don't recall having my nose bleed.
Turkeygirl
Well considering western NY has been on a long dry spell....that's one good cause. Other causes, high blood pressure, aspirin....deformity....though if it's just started lately, and not something that's bothered you before, I would guess possibly just the dry spell we've been in. I use to get them alot when I was little and now at the most, if I have a cold, or my nose is really dry, I'll get a small one. Try putting some vaseline in your nostril....it works...use a Q-tip or whatever...helps keep your nose moist.... Reminds me of the kid at camp I had who got hit in the face my a kid's hand and he had aa gusher of a nosebleed....I got it stopped but geesh.... dance.and.shoot
I've actually had the same problem the last couple of months. My nose will just start bleeding with no warning, nothin'. It really is scary. I finally got tired of it and talked to one of my friends dad's (he's a doctor.) After telling him what had been going on, he got really concerned and had me go see my family doctor. The look on that doctor's face wasn't the best and had me come back for some more testing. Turned out it was nothin'. I'm sure you're fine!!! God Bless and hope you get this figured out soon!!!
