Grady269
I was wondering what experience anyone has had with Zeiss scopes? I have a new rifle Kimber .257 that I have been having big time trouble with related to accuracy. After numerous attempts to get it shooting respectable groups I finally relented to the last item on the rifle that I could fix without a gunsmith; the Zeiss 3x9x40mm scope. I took it off the rifle and put a Leupold from one of my other rifles on it. Amazing! the first group I shot covered with a quarter; so did the next (2) and it did the same the next day. It seems like a scope problem which was the last thing I expected. I could never get the rifle to zero with the Zeiss it would start wandering all ove rthe place. I could shoot (2) rounds close and then the next (2) would be 6-8 inches off from each other.
Texan_Til_I_Die
Two years ago my friend had similar problems with a brand new Zeiss. I don't recall the exact model, but it was one of the 30mm jobs. He ended up sending it back and they sent him a replacement. No problem with the replacement scope. FYI - I have a pair of Zeiss binos and have not had any problems with those.
Grady269
Yeh, I was just dissapointed, and in major denial that is could be a scope problem. I questioned my hand loads, bought factory loads, replaced the scope mounts and I cussed Kimber. Really like the scope, it is very clear and "really" good in low light. It's going back Monday and I am sure they will stand behind it.
hunterbobb
I would be very surprised if Zeiss did not stand behind their product.
redkneck
That's gotta be bad considering what you paid for it. I'm sure their service dept will get it replaced.
jokostel
I've got a Conquest 3.5x10x44 on my Mountain LSS in 280 Rem. Best scope choice I ever made for that rifle. I agree as well... Zeiss is a company that should be bullet proof in product satisfaction.. I doubt youll have any hangups replacing that.
