What Else Should I Buy For This Year's Hunting Season?

I love to buy one new thing every hunting season (at least one), but I think I have everything I need.

I've reached almost full critical mass over the last 9 years. Please suggest something that you think would be useful or fun.

Here is a sample of what is in my treasure chest:

2-30.06, one Savage with Scope, One Remington Woodsmaster with Leopold Scope

1-30-30 Winchester

1-Remington 870 with 2 barrels

1-22 Marlin with a scope all camo'd out

1-BB gun made in Turkey (nice)

1-compound Bow (Fred Bear) with all the necessities

1 Climbing treestand

1-Ladder stand

1 popup blind

Warm and cold camouflage (full gear gloves, overalls, green and brown camo patterns)

2 wool sweaters

3 hunter orange vests

6-8 hunting hats

4 pair of boots from warm-cold + knee-high rubber boots

1-pair of Nikon Binos (very nice)

1 Nikon rangefinder

3-5 knives of various sizes and styles + 1 leatherman

3 safety harnesses

4 flashlights (1 highbeam spotlight - for viewing only)

1-bipod

Permission and access to hunting in Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Montana, Virginia

Besides a truck and some private land - what do you guys have that you think I should get?

I don't have much money, but a couple hundred dollars would satisfy this perennial urge to get some additional hunting gear.

So far, I like the trail camera idea best. I do have a video camera already (forgot to mention)

Also, I remembered today that a muzzleloader may be useful and fun. I've resisted buying one because I have no idea how to use them, what materials to buy, etc. Need someone to show me before I purchase one.

I just had to buy one. I got a T/C and it comes with a CD that tells you almost everything you need. You'll begin to figure out what works and what you need.

...what about:

- Scent-A-Way spray

- compass

- packs of any kind.

- calls (deer, turkey, predator, elk?)

- pruning shears or saw

- machette at walmart for like $10 works awesome for prepping a stand location. Or for more money the Gerber Gator Jr has a saw on the back too.

- quick open portable blind (wall)

- Cartridge or shell holder stock accessory for your guns

- Side mount scope mount/rings or see-thru rings for your 30-30 if you don't have them.

- a mixture of scents in a little spray bottle to get that animal to stop or slow down on the trail where you want it too.

I'd go with a good set of pruning shears and a pole pruner like mentioned above. I get a ton of use out of my pole pruner!!!!!!!

I can't understand why you don't have much money.

:D
