Strut10
Boy what a wasted day. Had stuff to do today..........work on some Christmas trees, hang a couple stands, do an oil change, shoot the bow........ Been raining & blowing since I got up and about 50-couple degrees. Good day for nothing but the Outdoor Channel and copious quantities of adult beverages. May go to the bow shop just to crack the monotony. Blah!!! woolybear
Been raining & blowing since I got up and about 50-couple degrees. Well Don thanks for sending that down the pipe. It just got here and is pouring down sideways. There goes the afternoon scouting trip. Your back-up plan don't sound too bad about now though. Strut10
Well Don thanks for sending that down the pipe. It just got here and is pouring down sideways. Don't mention it. Ended up going to the bow shop. Got a new peep stuck in my backup bow then B.S.'ed a while. Looks like a little less of the same weather for tomorrow. Have to at least get up on the hill and check the Cuddeback. Haven't got the digger tires on the Jeep yet. So I'm guessing I'll have a nice, long walk. Strut10
Day here started good, but got miserable around 10. Rain, fog, muggy, humid, ugh. You must have been on the back side of the front () or something. It hung right around 50 degrees and rained all dang day here. Total of only about 3/4" of rain. Just a cold, clammy, crappy day.
arrow32
Rained all day here and was real cool. Ended up huntin and spending about 5 or 6 hours at the bow shop and going to a concert. Sounds like you had a good day.
wtnhunt
Pretty sloppy here. Wwent hunting yesterday morning. After I got back it rained. Got the tractor under our basement trying to drag some mud out, spent about 4 hours on the tractor yesterday after it quit raining. Moved some dirt around too. Went out yesterday afternoon and sat a stand, no rain in the forecast, but it poured on me just before dark. Supposed to be 55 and foggy this morning, think I will be in a tree here in about oh an hour or so.
redkneck
Sounds like my day. I've been staining and poly-coating trim on the carport on sawhorses since it's been raining constant for the past month. I got up and put on a coat of stain, wife went to town for some stuff and I forced myself to put on some brake pads that have been squealing for a month now. I back the truck halfway under the carport, now it's packed with woodwork, motorcycle, table/miter saw, and I got 20 lbs of chicken on the smoker. I pull the pads, they were under warranty, the rain stops, and I get the idea I can drive my motorcycle the 12 miles to the parts house. After about 5 miles on the bike the rain starts coming down so hard my coil got wet and she shut down on me. Called a friend to come get me. Got back home, got dry, checked out the adult beverage supply, and waited for the wife to get home after it got dry again and jumped off the bike. On a lighter note, the chicken was Excellent!
