sluggunner
Was talking with some co-workers and realized just how luck I am as I am 46 years old and in my entire life I have only been opperated on two times and both were minor procedures and both were done with a local so I have never been put to sleep. Both were elective. I was wondering who here has gone under the knife the most times. In order to count they had to have cut you to the point where stiches were required to close up the wound. Who on here has the record for the most surgeries, and everything and anything counts as long as it was performed by a doctor.

sluggunner
Man Tominator, you are one tough bird!!! You have been through a LOT!! You have had enough surgeries to spread up among a dozen people. Hang in there pal, hopefully you will never ever need to go under the knife again. Hang in there pal, hopefully you will never ever need to go under the knife again. Well, I guess there's always hope. Unfortunately, my condition is genetic, so it's not going away. We just have to hope what pops up is caught early and is operable as my cancers do not respond to alternative measures like chemo. Anyway, Orlan has me beat. I think he's up to like 60 some surgeries on his legs. Could be wrong. I probably take the cancer prize though.
OJR
Chris, you are wrong! I have had only 38 surgeries! Don't even ask me for all the dates and what they were for! Too many to remember! Remember folks, just take what you get and go on!
GWSmith
Only 2 surgeries so far in my 48years... Heart Catherization(exploratory-no problems found) ...and my Colon decided that I had an unhealthy passion for hot food. Parts of it thought they could leave without permission so my doctor turned my Colon into a rubberband gun. Pray I dont eat cherries and swallow the pits or someones going to get an eye put out if I fart.
wtnhunt
Only 40, but have had too many. Cannot remember dates, and will probably miss something. Heart cath at 3 or 4years old. Tonsilectomy at 4. Had to have a mole that was growing removed from the inside corner of my eye around age 9. Compound fracture right arm age 13, both bones completely broken, one broke in two places and my arm split across the top. Longest procedure I have been through. Surgeon placed 2 pins and repaired some nerves. Surgery for staph infection in that same arm before my cast was supposed to come off, spent a month in the hospital for that. Broke that arm again, put back together while I was awake that time, think I was 14 then. Thorocotomy in 2003.
redkneck
I've been pretty healthy but have had to have my foot surgically removed from my mouth on numerous occasions, and my head removed from my.... well, you get the idea. Actually I've been very fortunate to go under anesthesia once or twice for minor procedures. Wisdom teeth once, can't remember if there actually was a second time.
