VermontHunter
Got out of work today to meet my Father-In-Law at the range to zero in his NEW TC Pro Hunter .50 cal and .270 win. I also had to zero in my dads NEW Wolf .50 cal, so I thought while we were at it I, I would give my TC Triumph 50 cal a workout ... Here's a few pics of the event .. This one is of my father-in-law proudly getting ready to put a 200grn Shockwave down range .. The TC Pro Hunter with the 50 cal setup .. Here's one of the .270 win barrel being installed, so it can be zeroed in. When all said and done with my father-in-laws' and dads setups .. they were all zeroed in at 100 yrds. with good 1/4" groupings .. needless to say they were tickled with the outcome. I then had some time to put my setup to work .. TC Triumph ... 250grn. Shockwaves with 100grns. of 777 I already new I was good for 100 yrds. so I put the Nikon BDC 250 to the test and put 3 rounds downrange at 200 yrds, and this was the result .... The first round went off it's mark due to my error, but the next 2 found their marks with ease .. man I love that BDC Scope .. I have to say I think we three are ready for some Whitetail ML action ...

dbHunterNY
So what loads were your father and father-in-law using?
VermontHunter
So what loads were your father and father-in-law using? My father-in-law was using 777 magnum loads (which I believe is 120 grains) and 200 grain Shockwaves. My fathers Wolf liked the 100grns of 777 with Hornady 240 Gr. XTP MAG. PotashRLS
Some great range time. Nothing like the smell of rotten eggs after muzzleloading:clown:

I haven't had much time to get out and shoot. Good luck to the three of you this season.

I do like the Hornady Mag's ...

I do like the Hornady Mag's ... I have some Hornady SST Low drag 250 gr sabots to try out next. To be consistent I'm cleaning in between shots, but thanks for the heads up. I tried the 250gr shockwave superglides first and they were good enough out to 200 yards, but no further; in terms of accuracy with my gun and 150gr of regular 777 pellets. dawgitall
Great group at 200 yards. I shoot the same set up except 150 grains of 777. Do you find 100 grains grouping better? I am thinking about dropping down to 100 grains.

Do you find 100 grains grouping better? I am thinking about dropping down to 100 grains. My Triumph doesn't group well at all with 150 grns. I've had the best results with 100 grns. This is my TC Triumph ...
dawgitall
Thanks. I'm definitely gonna try 100 grains. I do want a little more accuracy.
