Strut10
You won't know until you try. I'd say maybe buy 3 or more different boxes of ammo and see which kind the gun shoots best.
hunterbobb
Sounds Like a good deal. I would use 140gr bullets, if you are hunting deer. Heavier bullet for heavier game. As Strut10 suggests get two or three different brands of the bullet weight you decide on and see which one your gun prefers.
High Country
My Savage M110 in 7mm RM is ultra accurate with nearly everything...the worst load in it is Remington 150 grain Core-loks (and they still shoot under MOA at 100 yards)... The two best through my rifle have been Winchester's Supreme 150 grain Ballistic Silvertip (0.40 MOA) and Federal Premium 160 grain Nosler Partitions (0.50 MOA). Try a few different types that are readily available to you...and make sure you have a good scope on it...the scope that come with my rifle "died" in the middle of a hunt... DKA
I shoot 160 Gr. Nosler Accubonds over H1000 Powder, very accurate.
Modillo
GREAT FIREARM!!!!!!!! i own one exactly like it. i use the 150gr corelokts, 150gr nosler balistic tips, winchester powerpoints so on. all in the 150grains class, and it shoots well and the berral does well with those. the nosler is my handload consisting of the 150gr nosler balistic tip, over imr 4831. works like a charm. AR VARMINTER
Monster Buck, I usually am a die hard Federal Ammunition person! However I recently purchased a new Remington CDL 7 mm Rem Mag. In testing several types and brands of ammunition. I had purchased some Remington 150gr. Acu-Tip 7mm Rem Mag. Ammo for my testing. As one of the guys said the Cor-Lock was terrible at around 2 MOA at 100 yards however the 150 Acu-Tip fired a very respectable .447, 5 shot group at 100 yards. If you subtract the bullet diameter from the .447 that is a respectable group. You may want to give a box a try. I was very impressed with it. Also on a recent hunt on the Outdoor Channel hunt I used some Hornaday 150 that had the same polymer type bullet and it worked great on an 8 pt buck. So the Remington 150 Bullet should work great on deer and other game. AR
