Here are some pics from the Ontario bear hunt at Gord MacMillans in Golden Lake Ontario

The main lodge and dining hall.....(notice the little tripod looking dinner bell hanging i the lefgt side of the image near the tree - its location comes in to play later) this image was taken from my cabin

Probably the friendliest man I have ever met, John Jeffery..

A view from where my blind had been set-up, this is a picture of a wolf trotting up the trail...

Inside the dining hall.... I'll say we never went away hungry!

Mrs MacMillian (the owner - on the left), then myself and Colleen, Mrs MacMillians daughter (Gords sister). Awesome cooks!!!

Ed's bear

After Ed got his bear on the second night he sat near me with the video camera. He missed a good size bear the first night we were there.... he said it was due to nerves...

Pic of me after I switched to the 30-06 so I could be back about 60 yards further

Gord clearing a shooting lane for me... you can see my new Double Bull blind sitting up on the hill... love the blind!!

These pics are from Gord's bush room - this man is a true woodsman. He has more knowledge of whitetails and bears not too mention any other furbearer!

Most of these were sheds from the same bucks year after year...

Gord said a bear whittled this duck decoy for him, and he found it just "as is"! Pretty cool

Gord said he found this in the water and when he looked at it, it appeared to resemble a bear on the end of the stick! I saw the bear before he told us the story!

The last day, Ed Uncle Gord and myself posing with some Canadian beaver eh'. My Canadian beaver was shaved....it is amazing how soft the under fur of the beaver really is.

OK... remember the dinner bell?? Here is a pic of the dinner bell with a HUGE pile of bear poop next to it....seems we should have been hunting from the camp instead of the woods!
