redkneck
Not having a football party, but I want some recipes! My spinach dip is ok, my hot wings are ok, my guacamole is ok, but none of them are great. Anybody got a good snack recipe to post now that it's football season? woolybear
I've been to a quite a few football parties with some real good munchies. Gotta admit though, simple as it is, my all time favorite party snack is roasted water chestnuts wrapped in bacon.

redkneck
your makeing me hungry lol!!!!!! You aint the only one! Now those breasts, you're saying you just fry them in a pan with a little oil and hot sauce? Definitely going to give that one a try. Matt, I've never been crazy about water chestnuts, but my buddy's mama makes the best spinach dip with them in it when we go tailgating at college games. You just wrap the bacon around one and bake it?

oldksnarc
Here is one I posted a while back. Buffalo Chicken Dip Are you the one that originally posted it? Thanx. I tried it last year at deer camp and everyone loved it. Did it with blue cheese dressing. Caused a lot of heartburn. So since then I've used the ranch dressing and no complaints of heartburn. I also cheat on the chicken. I get the pre-cooked frozen chiken fajita strips at Wal-Mart and let them thaw out and chop them up real fine. Adds another layer of flavor. Our deer camp guys get together at the farm (our deer camp) for Super Bowl Sunday. Last year I made a double batch for the 5 of us and 6-7 guests. Gone in an hour. Again, thanx. You're our hero. dbHunterNY
I've tried a buffalo chicken dip pretty close to that. definitely some good snackin' right there! For spinach and artichoke dip I concocted this: 1 can (14oz.) artichoke hearts, drained, chopped 1 pkg (10oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained 1 pkg (10oz.) alfredo sauce (creamy or saltier everyone has their own they like) 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/3 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese 2 cloves of garlic, minced Preheat oven to 350. Mix all the stuff well. Spoon into pie-plate or 9" quiche dish (I prefer this). Sprinkle 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese on top if you like cheese (everyone usually does). Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly brown. That'll make about 48 tbsp.
TxStarr
Jezebel Sauce 1 cup peach preserves 1 cup orange marmalade 1 (6 oz) jar mustard 1 (5 oz) jar horseradish 1/4 teaspoon pepper (I used white b/c I did not want black flakes) Mix all together and serve over cream cheese with crackers. I did not use that much horseradish in the batch I was going to eat but made a batch for Christmas party and everyone loved it!!
