Leo
My Spyderco Native with a VG 10 blade is my everyday knife. It wasn't very dull but I thought I'd see if I could bring it back to "out of box sharp" or better. My conclusion? I really like how VG 10 sharpens. You still have to do your part but this stuff rewards you with a super sharp edge. Blade steel and heat treat make a difference. I'm satisfied this knife is good on both counts. I printed the word "sharp" on a standard piece of printer paper and shaved part of the letters off without cutting thru the paper.

Prairiepredator
You don't often see pocket knives that are that sharp!
LifeNRA
You don't often see pocket knives that are that sharp! If they are done right you will! My wife won't let me sharpen any of her knives, because you can shave with any mine! ;)
Leo
If they are done right you will! My wife won't let me sharpen any of her knives, because you can shave with any mine! ;) I can get quite a few of mine that sharp. But I have absolutely learned, no matter how good you get at sharpening there's little hope for a crappy blade. You might, I repeat might be able to get a sub-standard blade really sharp but it doesn't seem to last past the first cut on anything. Knives that get sharp again and stay sharp are what makes them stand out as being outstanding. The VG 10 steel in this Spydie is excellent for that.
