coles
Today I took my girlfriend out to shoot our rifles again. She has been buggin the heck out of me to go shootin again! But we just havent found the time with work and school. But its a good thing though since she could be buggin me about stuff thats worse. lol. But anyways. We finally found the range up in the middle of no where up in the mountains. All i can say is that its the nicest range I have ever been to in my life. First class operation. Its called Deep Creek Range for you Missoula, MT area people. We took her new Ruger Hawkeye 270, my hawkeye 270, my 300wsm, and my 22-250 with us. First off i shot her 270 to get it a little more dialed in since the last time we shot it. was shootin all over the place. Needs a little more fine tuning possibly. My 270 shot really well but had to check it since i adjusted my scope a couple days ago. 300 WSM didnt shoot worth crap and i got fed up. Must have got knocked off zero after shooting my elk last season and ridin back out on horses. Ill shoot it more at a later date. I was goin to sight in my 22-250 with 60 Partitions to use if i go wolf hunting this year but it shootin a 3 shot group of about 6". so ill play with it later on too. But anyways. we shot 2 boxes of 130gr Federal fusion between us both and had a blast. We were shootin the steel gong at 200 yards which helped her confidence a ton since she could hear it hit instead of just a hole in paper that she couldnt see. But here are the pics. Keep in mind that this is only her 2nd time shooting her new 270 and the biggest rifle she had ever shot before this rifle was a 22. She bet me that she could hit closer to the dead center of the bull and i guess she was right. This is one of her other targets and a little fine tuning may be required. Here is my best group of the day all the targets were shot from 100 yards and we will be goin back ASAP to get her more practiced up for opening day! She loved it and we both had an absolute blast. I think i found a keeper! what do you guys think?

PotashRLS
What are you shooting out of your 300WSM? I have one and we are loading Hornady 190gr interlocks. It took some tweaking but it is coming along pretty nice.
coles
im shooting federal premium 180 gr. accubonds. The targets in the pics above were shot with ruger hawkeye 270s. My 300WSM shot a really good group as well but i needed to sight in our deer rifles before i had a sore shoulder. It shot two shots basically in the same hole. could barely tell it was two holes. but Ill work with it next time we go out to the range.
