RangerClay
I need to wash my hunting clothes. Unfortunately it is forcasted to rain everyday this week so I cannot put them outside to dry. I am concidering the earth scented drier sheets. So here is my question, do these drier sheets leave a lingering smell in the drier after you use them? I don't want my wife torching my hunting clothes because her dresses smell like dirt. Wimpy
I use them and they don't leave a smell in the drier. They really don't even leave the earth scent on your clothes.

mike13candace
Used dryer sheets for the last two years... amazing they smell like dirt..LOL
Jeramie
I never have used them. I typically do like you and just hang dry them. If its going to rain they go to the barn or something to dry. Granted the scent sheets should help but I dont like the idea of my Cammo rolling around in a tub that had Snuggle in it an hour before. backwoods07
I use them and they don't leave a smell in the drier. They really don't even leave the earth scent on your clothes. Yup. I use them cuz I hate the static build up on my clothes, especially gloves and facemasks.
arrow32
No always hang them but be worth using if your not going to be able to. But I suggest not putting one in your hat just becuase you forgot your earth scent things. Buddy put one in his hat one time and he seemed to smell like dirt for a while.LOL

Same thing I have found Same here, but I use them anyways. I think they just remove any smells that might remain inside the dryer so that your clothing doesn't pick them up! dbHunterNY
thought about it but I just spray the gear/clothing when i take it out.
jesse8953
I like them because my cloths don't heve static to them.
redkneck
Never have. I usually wash my stuff with little to no detergent, or just baking soda, depending if I've been sweating a lot, but if it's been nice and cold, I sometimes just wash them in warm water/no detergent. Hang to dry unless it's wet outside or if I'm in a hurry then I just dry with no dryer sheets. Nothing like a breeze outside and a little sunlight to dry and freshen up your gear to me. Leo
If it's gonna rain, and I can't preferrably hang stuff to dry outside. I will hang the stuff to dry in my "clean" closet, that contains only my scent free hunting clothes. Occasionally, I also hang stuff to dry in the storage shed out back. I simply refuse to put hunting stuff in a dryer. I don't care what the dryer sheets smell like. I am not using them. If you put citrus scented air fresheners in a bathroom it only smells like someone pooped on a lemon. It's true and our sense of smell isn't a corner of what a deer's is. I feel, using the dryer isn't scent control no matter what you throw in it with your clothes. The stuff is still tumbling around for almost an hour in "house air". It's just a good scent trying to mask a bad. Not the most effective strategy. I don't and won't use them. As long as your stuff has a full night to dry, it should be fine. Hollywood
Never ever dry......a dryer just takes to much out of the fabric........wash cold water with arm&hammer.........then hang dry.........stored in a plastic container with some fat lighter and dirt......mother nature makes the best cover scent...bar none
LifeNRA
with some fat lighter What is that?

GWSmith
I used to use them but just got away from it...I've been washing my clothes in Baking Soda and drying them without any dryer sheets. Never had any problems since after their dry I store them in large rubbermaid tubs with 1 Fresh Earth Scented Wafer;)
Rayzorp
ditto,, use them more to store away my hunting clothes when I put them away in space bags
wtnhunt
Never tried the dryer sheets. Would assume they would do ok, but don't know first hand. Would not imagine they would leave much smell in the dryer.
pse arhcer
I use them occassionally, but lately, I've just been putting one in my bag w/ my hunting clothes. Don't know if it really helps, but don't think it really hurts either.

maxxis31
I air dry my cloths but I have scentblocker roadtrips outfit's so i have to put them in the drier for 20-30 minutes to re-activate them so i always spray the inside of the dryer with scent away first and it doesent bother the deer at all
BearClaw
Use the HS sheets but doesn't really leave a scent on the clothes or the dryer.
wtnhunt
Tried the hs sheets with this new dryer and they leave very little earth scent, the scent on the clothes is so slight I really don't think it would leave any odors in the dryer. One note on this, if you have carbon lined clothes, might be a good idea to hold off on drying them in a load where using the earth scented sheets. Might be better off to dry them in the load following using the sheets.
