Between the two

I'm throwing around with my major still no idea what I want to do when I grow up:D Not to concered about it really one of these years I'll figure it out. But right now I'm tossing between something in electric maybe and Foresty lines something like that. If I'd go with foresty I'd want to do something like stream and fish biology up in the mountains.

Downside to that is it takes forever to get a job and the pay stinks.

What do you think?

Compare both programs and you should be taking courses now or when in college to satisfy both. An extra year of school bills and the added hassle of taking extra course work that won't transfer into a program, isn't worth the little time it takes to research the programs at different schools and make some phone calls. That would give you more time to think.

OK here is my $.02. I know money is a necessity however please be happy with what you are doing. Do you want to spend the next 50 years just making money or do you want to be one of the few people that are really happy with their job. There is nothing worse than working for a paycheck and not being happy, well maybe unemployed but you get the point.

lol yeah I know. Plus as long as there are people there will be a need for electic.

Electrical Engineering is a good field. However, Mechanical Engineering is more broad and pays WAY better in a lot of states.

Once you get a PE in your state you can seriously roll in the money. I work with many, many mechanical engineers. They make great money. It also opens the field choice too. You can do anything from Heat and Air, Oil and Gas, Electrical, Transportation, etc....

There is a huge demand for Mechanical and structural engineers.

THE most important thing is to stick with it and get that piece of paper to hang on the wall. What it says on the paper isn't nearly as important as the fact that you have it. Take a look at most job requirements today and they'll say Bachelor's Degree required, but they don't say it has to be in the particular area of the job.
