BowHunterX
You guys think this buck will go P&Y? How about Age, Score, and Weight?

wtnhunt
You guys think this buck will go P&Y? How about Age, Score, and Weight? Yep, think so. At least 4.5. 132-136 gross. 215-225 on the hoof. Welcome to the forums.
hunterwebb
don't know about age or weight but score i think is 140 to 145 i think closer to 145 spread is about 19 or
Stone Cold
Yes for sure Pope & Young! Spread alone will boost your score. His tines are ok but if he gets beat up a bit you might be worried!
layin on the smackdown
He'll definitely go P&Y...thats a mature deer, 4.5 and i'd say he'll be pushin the 135-140 mark. he is wide, got good main beams, lacks in mass, but has decent tine length... from that pic, thats my first impression. Good luck!
ODH
defiantely pope and young! id say 140-145 mark, maybe higher! nice deer
woolybear
P&Y and then some.
fly
I'm surprised at some of the guesses? Beautiful buck for sure and a shooter in my book. However, the mass seems to be lacking as smack pointed out. He's wide, but width don't get you anything if the main beams are shorter. Looks like a 9-point which hurts the net score (the only score P&Y will care about). I'd say he may gross 135 but will have close to 10 inches in deductions. He may just barely squeek in. Looks like an older buck. I'd say 4.5 year old and right at 200 lbs. Edited September 30, 2009 by fly
woolybear
fly, have you been drinking tonight, maybe a little blurried eyed? :clown: That suckers all of 135"+ or+ 10"es no doubt:) See where I'm going here... SLAMMER.

backwoods07
I was thinkin about 140, 4.5 yr old, and I have no idea on weight. Nice buck.
fly
fly, have you been drinking tonight, maybe a little blurried eyed? :clown: :wine:I drinking been have not!:clown: Judging main beam length is the hardest for me. Even with the additional pics. I was thinking about 20 inches each with the inside spread going over that which wouldn't help the score. This guy below was over 20 inches inside and grossed 131. When I saw him in the woods I was thinking bigger. Good luck finding him BowHunterX!
wtnhunt
Here are some more pictures With those views, he may go a shade higher gross than my original guess, not thinking much higher though. Would surprise me if that deer went over 140.
Tominator
Ummm, nope, I don't think so. If his right G-2 was the same as the left, I'd say yes, but I think he'll net just below 125.
Ohiobucks
I'm thinking what he lacks in symmetry with his G2's and the missing G4, he gains in main beam length and spread. Not much mass, so the circumference scores may lack. I'm thinking he will still net 130+ though....
Jeramie
I agree he will make P&Y. I dont know about weight. A big buck around here is 135lbs. I too would guess somewhere in the 200lb range.
layin on the smackdown
That is just weird...he has like a mile between his left G3 and the end of his antler....something should have grown there...it looks way tooo empty. On another note, all my guesses on score are strictly gross....thats all i really care about...inches of bone. good luck with him.
dawgitall
He'll make it.
