Chrud
Re: ROTY ??? I know...my brother completely forgot that it had to be a ROY and not just a rookie. Kyle Busch, Travis Kvapil are....Boris Said isn't. He's only doing 10 races I think. Maybe only those two.
RTF
Re: ROTY ??? [ QUOTE ] Boris Said isn't. He's only doing 10 races I think. [/ QUOTE ] Now thats funny. I was told he is a ROTY contender. What are the rules to qaulify for ROTY ?
Chrud
Re: ROTY ??? I couldn't tell you. He may be, because Carl Edwards isn't eligible. I believe if you run more than 7 races in a single season (your first season), that is considered your "rookie year." So, I guess he is a ROY guy. Thats right, because there was the question about running Edwards for ROY this year and find someone else to drive the 99 for all but 7 races last year. RTF
Re: ROTY ??? Heres what I found at Jayski's 2005 Rookie of the Year Candidates (ROTY) Kyle Busch, #5 Travis Kvapil, #77 Eric McClure, #73 #99-Carl Edwards and #32-Bobby Hamilton Jr. will NOT re eligible for the 2005 ROTY Award .....will have run more then 7 races in a season (sometimes a driver not up for the award may have yellow stripes on tracks they have not competed on before)
Guest deldeer
Re: ROTY ??? you can not race in more than 7 races in first season, you must also qualify for 8 out of the first 20 races to be eligible for roty. (don't know how that is going to work with rule changes this year though).
