Heavy Metal
Troy's NHL 2009/2010 Predictions Western Conference My Sharks will dominate the West AGAIN during the regular season. Only to be swept in the first round by Columbus. Detroit will make their third appearance in a row in the Finals as fans have all but forgotten about the most boring conference in all of pro sports. Eastern Conference The Rangers will be labeled a "REAL CONTENDER" entering the regular season with an all-star lineup that will be mostly traded away, suspended or injured (see Gaborick)by week 4 and will be on their second head coach....that same week. Ovechkin will score goals. Some will be "spectacular" most will be due to goal tending and defensemen gene-pool-breakdown due to having 30-some teams in a league that can only ever sustain maybe 20. Pitt will dominate the regular season and I hope for a Pens/Canadians Eastern Conference Finals. Bruins will be right in there as well as the Caps. Not a single team in the Eastern Conference that I don't enjoy watching....okay maybe Toronto. Pens go to third straight Finals and win second consecutive cup in......oh shoot, 7 games. NHL Bettman will announce the addition of 10 new expansion teams over the next 5 years in: Argentina, Peru, Chili, Mexico, Alaska, Columbia, Sudan, Somalia, Kenya and Fire Island (of Which he will be the GM). Phoenix will be purchased by NHL affiliates, kept in the desert to die a slow and fitting desert death only to be bought out and moved to Ontario in 5 years. :hammer1:

Strut10
Enjoyed a relaxing evening last nite. Sat on the couch in front of the bigscreen and wacthed the Pens ceremonially raise the Stanley Cup banner to the roof. Then I watched them down the Rangers. Looking dangerous again this year............even with some new faces. Seems like hockey season just ended.......................oh.......wait. It did just end. I love it when there's such little down time between seasons.

MUDRUNNER
Boooya!! The Bluenotes took both games in Sweden from the Wings, who appear to have goaltending issues.

Heavy Metal
Sharks look terrible. NO defense at all. Nabby looks positively average.

Strut10
Pens spank the Flyers in Philthydelphia. I didn't watch the game. Good thing. I watched last nite as the lowly 'Yotes made Pittsburgh look like a bunch of babies.

Strut10
Pens give the Sens a clinic.............including killing a Sens 1 1/2 minute 5 on 3. Fleury was outstanding. And I think Billy Guerin scored the first goal I ever saw where neither of the shooter's feet were on the ice when he shot.
