NS whitetail
I want to know how a guy gets a tripping call and the guy he tripped gets a diving call all in the same play?????? I wondered that myself ............... to me, it's either a trip and 2 minutes or a dive and 2 minutes, pretty sure that some times, the Refs just want to be the stars :hammer1:
Strut10
It's the darned "even things up" mentality of the refs that kills me. I'd like to see the stat comparing the number of penaltie minutes issued to the team who's winning versus minutes issued the team that's losing. You know darned well that when a team gets up a couple goals, they are going to take a penalty and there's going to be very little they can do about it. A ref will call something really weak in an attempt to even the game up. It's so predictable it's disgusting.
Strut10
I agree ............ last night when Crosby left the ice to fix his cut, he came out the door and skated back to the bench while play was going on because he didn't want to loose his shift. The Ref gave him a warning ....... that's suppose to be a too many men penalty. Those Ref's get paid big bucks I would imagine, so how can they do stuff like that ? Didn't see that. Shoulda gotten 2 minutes. I like Sid (obviously). But he's a butt kisser with the refs. He's always talking to them between play.......which I realize is a captain's job to clarify calls, etc.....but I think a bit of it equates to butt kissing. Could be wrong. Dakota
Pens drop one today!!! Series tied at 1 a piece! Woohoo! Since the Wild didn't get in this year, I'm hoping it'll either be Sharks/Habs or Sharks/Bruins in the finals. Dakota

Dakota
Sharks!?!?! Boo!! haha!! Oh that's right...Detroit plays them tonight, eh? Who won game 1? Oh wait! It's not that I don't like the Red Wings...it's just that I don't want to see another Detroit/Pittsburgh final. I was actually hoping that Buffalo would stand a shot but that fell through obviously. Oh well, if the Wild isn't playing the game isn't important in my opinion. Dakota
camoman1
Wings look a little clumsy so far. Is it just me or is anyone else getting motion sickness from the camera man?? I think he is zoomed in too far, I cant see much of the play.
Dakota
I'm not able to watch it, I'm following it online at nhl.com. Wings are ahead though 3-2. Dakota
camoman1
Wings never stood a chance tonite. The refs were one step from having sticks and teal jerseys on. And then a broken stick leads to an odd man breakaway that scores the game winner. Possibly the worst officiating I have ever seen. And 99% of the bad calls went against the Wings, they werent evenly spread out.

camoman1
I couldnt believe that the wings actually had the game tied until a few minutes left in the game......with the Sharks 10 or so power plays...a few of them 5 on 3's.

Canucks are in the same conference as the Sharks, Carson. However, that might be the semi-final...I hope it is because I hate the Black Hawks.
