Nashoba hunter takes state's first black bearJoe Russell, a lifelong hunter from Nashoba, killed the firstblack bear in Oklahoma’s first black bear hunting season at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday. MCH Posted October 2, 2009 Report Share Posted October 2, 2009 I'd estimate we have at least 10 different bears on our lease in Pushmataha county. Had one under my stand in two seperate occasions. I didn't purchase a tag though....$100 is just a little steep for my taste. One of my fellow lease members did, however, and he's camping right now trying to fill it.
