So what are you all doing this weekend? I know in 2 weekends from now, I'll be sitting in the woods, with a bow in my hand:clown:

Today is homecoming over at the college, where I did my B.S....going to meet a girl over there and one of my old professors and we are going to hike the college trails.

Might be putting some of our ducks in the freezer...definitely want to shoot my bow! Would be nice to fit in some squirrel hunting as well!

Sunday, meeting a classmate from nursing for lunch, then the day is basically up in the air! Probably shoot my bow again!

What's everyone else doing?

Sounds pretty good Ruth.

I'm about ready to walk out the door to go to Amish Country up in Ohio. Tonight me and some buddies are going out for another night on the town.

Tomorrow I have to work like 12 to something not sure what. Plus I have to write a paper tomorrow night. So I'll be pretty busy.

I was planning to convalesce for a few days in the beautiful Catskill Mtns at our deer camp/country house. BUT...I woke up to lots of pain in my knee. Don't know if I can make the drive, plus it is raining, so it does not look promising. I guess I'll have to stay home and drive my wife crazy:clown:.

If the rain stops...my son Joe and I will fling a few sticks with our bows in the yard. I will shoot from a chair to prep for possibly being able to get out there bow season with this gimp knee of mine.

Have fun everyone.

I've got to get out to the hunting land and make a few ground blinds and hang a ladderstand. Since the season is open over here I'll have my Bow with me just in case. Dad will be here in less than two weeks so this weekend will be mostly getting ready for him being here. I'll have to start cleaning out the area in the garage where the table opens into that I use for processing game too.

Theres enough to get done that I'll stay busy with a few hunts inbetween for sanity;)

Well just got back from meeting up with a friend and professor. We had a nice hike on the college trails...even saw a fawn, by itself...we were about 20 yards from it...must be use to seeing hikers.

I think later Andy and I are going up to check our stands - remove any branches in the shooting lanes and flag our 20 and 30 yard markers.

I did get some bow shooting in...did good until my arm got tired then got a little crappy,lol..I need to quit before my arm gets tired.

I'm at work right now and don't get off until 10. then it's back again at 8 for a couple hours.

I was going to be going dancing, but because of a massive leg injury, i'm basically on bed rest until further notice (with the exception of work) which SUCKS. So i'm gonna be home for the weekend working on my Halloween costume!!! Whoo Hoo (not)

Well I'm whooped from my weekend already, lol. After the hike at college, came home, then we went out and checked all our tree stands plus a couple potential spots for a ladder stand. So that was a good hike. Found some rubs and scrapes...got my cam on the way back out and put it on a potential ladder stand spot on this small ridge they we usually see a big buck hanging around at...there's a fresh scrape and a couple good rubs...so we'll see.
