Hillbilly
Re: Hoot Tube Trouble When it comes to owl calling I just go with my own mouth. I have so many owls out in my place that I grew up communicating with them and have grown to love the way they go back and forth to each other. I use a Primos Power crow Call. This call is always in my fanney pack cause it's loud for those out of reach gobblers.
LifeNRA
Re: Hoot Tube Trouble For a locator call I have a the Primos Power crow and the hoot flute. There are even some peacocks in the mountain I hunt in! There is a nearby farm, so some of them come around. I heard a gobble one day after the peacock sounded off! Rhino
Re: Hoot Tube Trouble I just go with my mouth too. I don't even bother trying to owl to get a bird to gobble on the roost though. I used to back in the 70's and 80's but I realized years ago that they will gobble on the roost on their own anyway. About the only time I'll owl call now is if I'm trying to get one to shock gobble that shut up after fly down that I'm trying to get in front of.
