redrider86401 Posted October 3, 2009 Report Share Posted October 3, 2009 i am going muley muzzleloader hunting the 23 rd of this month ( my first m/l hunt ) i have a shooting solution made up and have shot it , 245 grain arro tip bullet with 120 grns of triple 7 and a triple 7 209 primer - i am 1 1/2 " high at 100 yards - i have shot it at 150 and it shot dead on (zero ) my rifle is a thompson center encore 50 cal. , anything i should look out for ? what do you think of this load ? my zero ? i will be hunting the hills by kingman arizona - canyons and steep hillsides . thanks jim just a christian trying to fill the freezer! Some people are very anal about their muzzloading and might tell people their using the wrong stuff but If your confident go with what you got.And it sounds like you got it right! muzzy1 Posted October 5, 2009 Report Share Posted October 5, 2009 Hi, sounds like your shootin good,great gun!!! if you have confidence in your set up you will kill a deer.I personaly dont like that bullet,i shoot 250gr shockwave with tripple 7 loose powder and for me its a KILLER combo..to each his own..good luck!!!!!!!
