Vikings-Packers

I see the Vikes taking advantage of what I believe is going to be a very aggressive defense (putting lots of pressure on Favre).....Im predicting some big screen passes to Mr. Peterson...

I hope the Pack wins.....but I would also love to see TT squirming in a press conference if Favre throws a bunch of TD's.

I'm debating who I want to win. I'm a Bears fan but, growing up in a family of Viking fans, the Vikings are my #2 team and it would be nice to see Favre stick it to the Pack. A Viking win would secure second place in the NFC North for the Bears, but a Packer win would create a 3-way tie between the Viks, Bears and the Pack for first. Plus, I'm playing my Dad in fantasy football and I'm winning by 10 points, but he has Favre and Bernard Berian (Vikings) and I have the Packer's kicker to play tonight. So...I'm kinda torn right now...:D

I'm hoping Green Bay can get the win. This one is important because Green Bay cannot fall two games behind Minnesota in the division. I could live with a split with Minnesota this year, as long as Green Bay wins November 1.

Looking at it on paper, Minnesota should win. Their d-line is so good and Green Bay's o-line is so bad. Rodgers will be under a lot of pressure tonight and will get hit and sacked a lot. However, I have a feeling Green Bay will somehow pull this one off. Minnesota's secondary is suspect, and if Rodgers can get some time, he should be able to get a few deep passes.

Minnesota should win by 7.

But, I'm going out on a limb and saying Green Bay wins 27-21.

Well you called it on the seven point win, but unfortunately the wrong team :( Rodgers did get hit a lot out there tonight, but on the bright side, if you look at all the rest of his numbers, he was right up there with Favre. I just wish he had better coverage. We have a good, young team and Aaron IS a good quarterback, but we need to work on utilizing things as a cohesive unit.:hammer1: I'm upset we didn't do a better job covering Rodgers tonight, but we did better than I expected with the Vikings defense. Too bad there was a flag on the interception we had in the endzone. I didn't even see what actually happened. We'll see how it goes down next time around at Lambeau. At least we've beaten the Bears this year so far :)

Well Brett beat them tonight, which Im sure isnt sitting well with McCarthy or Thompson...they probably would have been ok with Peterson putting up big numbers but they held in check and got beat by the man who wasnt good enough for them...that has to be hard to stomach.

I hate to say it but the Packers are not a very good team. There line sucks but I dont put all the blame squarely on them(although they are a big part of it). I have never seen these receivers drop so many balls. Play calling was another issue. They went with the short quick passes on the first drive and then got away from it. And Rodgers, please get rid of the ball once in a while. You cant expect the line to block forever or even for a short time for that matter. He knows they are coming for him, he cant worry about throwing and INT and just get rid of the ball. He has been sacked 19 times in 4 games and not all of the blame can be put on the O-Line. Hey Packer fans, remember that OT named Mark Tauscher we had. Pretty sure hes just sitting at home right now...but they will never bring him in. Thompson made a statement by not resigning him and he is not about to admit his mistake and bring him back, thats not want he does.

I hate to say it Packer fans but if they dont do something soon, this season is over.

Told ya.

The Vikings are the better team. GB's defense couldn't get any pressure of Fav-ruh and that made it easy for him to pick apart the injured secondary. The old man still has it when he has some time to throw.

Green Bay made the right decision going with Rodgers as the QB. Once again, he was not the reason the team lost last night. He played very well considering Jared Allen and the rest of the Minnesota d-line was in the backfield as soon as the ball was snapped.

Green Bay has some work to do this week. Glad it is a bye week.

Great game regardless. Jared Allen is an animal. Both q.b.'s played about as good of a game as you can expect. When you give favre 6 or 7 seconds to set and throw he's going to make some big plays. The Packers did seem to have Peterson's number last night, keeping his rushing yards down. Rodgers may not last long if they keep giving up 7 or 8 sacks per game. The Vikes played decent, but it seemed like once they had a good lead in the 3rd quarter they just sat back and let the Packers climb back into it.

Ain't it a beautiful thing? :D

Yes Dakota, it is a VERY beautiful thing! LOL Ashley, I'll give it to ya, Rodgers is a good quarterback, they got the right man taking the snaps, but the packers just aren't playing very well this year, they have their heads stuck somewhere and if they wanna win they need to get them out. And it didn't take a PACKER to get the VIKINGS a win if that's what any of you packer fans are thinking, because it takes a whole team to get a win. :clown: But it was a good game, I like how the pack answered the first 2 touchdowns with 2 of their own, they just got lucky though because in the end the Vikings DOMINATED!!!!

GO VIKES!!!!

Now I'm just hoping that the Bears will keep up their winning streak and that the Packers continue to struggle. If the Vikings choke later on (which they will I can almost assure you :D) then the Bears will be sitting pretty. I'm thinking it'll either be the Vikings or the Bears representing the NFC in the Superbowl this year. :robot:

Dakota :)
