redkneck
Took a doe this morning, nice pass-through, could have been a little closer to the heart, but still she dropped in 60 yards. She came out early, and the more the sun rose, the darker it got as a front came in. I decided to take the shot as the light drizzle started to pick up. Was about soaked by the time I got the hide off her, but I was just glad to get some confidence back after a bad opener and problems with my rest. Sorry folks, no pics, was just glad to get done before the bottom fell out. Went back to my muzzy's, I dont like the rage coming open in my quiver, lol... but haven't ruled out another shot with one before season's over. Stinger-Hunter
congrats. Can't always have a camera at the ready - but glad you were successful
rhine16
Congrats bud! Now bring out the stick bow! I could've gotten one but she had spots following her so I elected to pass. I watched GT whoop up on us last night. About to head home to hopefully whack one before our fall break is over.
WvBowhunterKE
Congrats on your doe, I am suprised to see so many complaints on the rage broadheads to be honest. Everyone I know back home swear by them, but hey, everyone has a different preference. Like said before, cant always have a camera around. struttinhoyt
Atta boy.... thats what I like to hear.... I shot rage last year.... thought all was well.... I shot um around practicing and what not..... I'm by no means bashing them but this is my opinion 1. They are noisy 2. To high maintance (blades coming open in my quiver & having to put on new O rings) 3. Don't fly as good as what I want them too. I switched back to Montecs.... I can sharpin them in less than a minute, and they are a one piece. plus they fly great out of my bow....

I like to try some different heads from time to time, never tried a one piece, or a cut on contact either.
WvBowhunterKE
I use the Montec G5's they are resharpenable, like he said up there it only takes about a minute. Changing from your practice tip to broadhead you can barely tell a difference. With the deer I have harvested with them they have never made it more than 40 yards from the point of impact. With each shot there has been a clean pass through. Though many dont prefer such a thing. I swear by them and will never change!
