Turkeygirl
I feel like I'm on vacation now! lol Call me crazy but they finalyl started chopping the corn that literally surrounds us. I haven't been able to squirrel hunt some area of the land behind my house because to get there, I have to cut across a field, and it's been all corn. This is a field, one of many actually, that a big time farmer owns...he is kind of a jerk, doesn't let anyone hunt it. We've lived here long enough that they don't mind us hiking across the field or riding the horses...though depending who it is, they might come see who you are. Anyway I love that sound of machinery and the smell of frsh chopped corn! The deer will really move down into our little woods so I'll stick my cam back in our woods and see what photos I get. Aaahh...it's really fall now!
Doe-ee
For me, nothing beats the sights, sounds and smells of autumn especially in your "neck of the woods". Looking forward to those cam pics.

RangerClay
I'm surprised they can get into the fields with all the rain we've had.

Turkeygirl
We got alot of rain, but not compared to up north, by Buffalo...so when I took a walk last night, fields weren't too muddy....I'm guessing they'll be working hard today..it's gorgeous outside. I actually got osme of the chopped corn they shot out andm issed getting in the wagon, therefore a big pile was left on the corner of our property...chickens love it! Today, well work the horse this morning, probably help mom with her gardens, then I am so going squirrel hunting, probably over on some state land!! I love these fall days...fall colors...God is so amazing

Its been so wet, almost impossible to put up this year. And with all the cool weather this summer, we did not get very much hay compared to normal...prolly 30% less than normal.
