JimT
A week into the season I finally had some action. Sitting in the new spot for the first time I had a four pointer walk right up to me. I saw an alder swaying off in the distance about 60 yards then saw some brown and knew right off it was a buck making a rub. As he got close he was heading right to one of the three lanes I cleared. Just before he got there he took a hard left and headed for the middle lane. If he made it into that lane it was a ten yard shot. He swearved around it just a tad and had a bush between us. However he was headed for the third lane I cleared. When he was literally five feet from this lane he stopped and turned and walked right up to me. At about seven or eight yards he realized I was not a stump on the ground and gave me the head bob for a few seconds and bolted out of there. I could have shot him straight on as I was at full draw this whole time but decided not to. What a riot that was. Would have had the whole thing on video, but unfortunatly the Epic bow camera is absolute junk. Never buy one. There was still alot of light left and the video is all black with some sky line. What a bummer. It was a great hunt though so thats good. It was definaltey mister four pointers lucky day.....
Ohiobucks
I love it when deer get that close, that gives you something to look forward to next time. You made the right call on not shooting at that angle though.
jdavis
Better luck next time; you did the right thing by not taking the shot and waiting. It might not have worked out this time but it's better than having a wonded deer out there.
WvBowhunterKE
Sounds to me you clear out a perfect three lanes considering he almost used all of them. I agree with the other two, you deffinently did the right thing not taking the shot. Im sure you will get another chance at him! Best of luck!
