bowhuntMN
I was watching an episode on my Realtree podcast and T-Bone said to shoot your bow with both eyes open. I had never heard of this before but have been shooting with both eyes open ever since. I'm starting to get better at it but i'm still learning. Is this something that everyone does that i was never aware of?
Dakota
I've been doing it for about 6 months now and have seen incredible improvement. Dakota

Ethan Givan
Yep Ive shot with both eyes open for a long time now. I cant shoot with one eye closed now at all because it feels so weird. I dont think it improved my accuracy, but I just like the wider field of view I have, and it makes it easier for me to see my pins especially in low light. earnhardts12000
i shoot right handed with my left eye so ya i shoot with both open
MNcrittergittr
Yep! I've been shooting my bow and my guns with both eyes open for the majority of my hunting life. I agree with Ethan, I'm not sure if it has increased my bow accuracy that much (I've been shooting that way for a long time, I would probably notice more if I went back) but the wider field of vision is great. It's a great idea to shoot with both eyes open. It's something that if you haven't done takes some practice and some getting used to but it will make you a better shooter. layin on the smackdown
I've been shooting with both eyes open, with my bow for some years now. It takes some learning, but i agree with the others in that it definitely helped with accuracy. I recommend it to all bow hunters... Been doing it as long as i can remember with my shotguns... ShaneB
I shoot with both eyes open bow and gun its something that really helps with field of view on shots because your not just staring at the pins u have the target and pins in sight
Orion_70
I shoot with both open, no peep. I learned shooting instinctively so it just makes sense.

woolybear
I can't imagine shooting with only one eye open...always shot with both open Same here. Didn't realize so many folks had such a hard time with that. Just for the record I can't wink my left eye alone and that's what I stare down my peep with so that may have something to do with it. Tony
i have tried to shoot with both eyes open and i just cant do it. my left eye is my stongest, but my right eye is my dominant eye. this causes me to see double. i will say that all the top shooters in the country are shooting with both eyes open. the main reason, is so that they can see the target clearer and more relaxed. they can also see targets in darker spots better. on the other hand you still can shoot very well with one eye closed. thousands of hunters do it all the time and with a lot of success. pick which one works well for you and then practice that way all the time. GWSmith
Like others have said I shoot with both open and have greater accuracy because of it. It's comfortable for me and I have better peripheral vision while hunting.

sskybnd
i have always shot with both eyes open, when i try to close one seems like i dont get a good shot, seems to me when i have both open i have a better view of the target and the pins at the same time.
