Nut
Just got in from tracking a doe I shot last night. The blood trail goes on for over 3/4 a mile. The arrow is still in the deer so knew which side the blood came from. Finally had to quit when it went onto neighbors land which I do not have permission to go. (In fact was told not to go even under this circumstance). The hit was good but at a downward angle . Blood was a dark red but nothing added to hit. So it looks like this will be a lost deer. It truly stinks. Then a few days ago I did have a clean miss to go along with the moved scope on the rifle I had used for deer damage hunts. It started shooting 3 feet low LOL. Maybe I should get out a shotgun and try for squirrels?

Wimpy
Here in Ohio if a wounded deer goes on to property that you don't have permission to be on, and the land owner won't give you permission to track it on his or her land, that's it your done regardless. This came from the game warden himself that serves my county. I know it stinks.

Id go get your local game warden and find your deer! Nope that all changed with their cutbacks. They used to do it, but now he said they don't have the time to run to those types of calls. Don't believe me call the ODNR. A Deer Hunter CANNOT do any of the following: Pursue wounded deer or other wild animals or recover dead deer or other wild animals from private property without the written permission of the landowner. dbHunterNY
If they give a darn maybe you could call them up or contact them to let them know that the deer went onto their property and then they'll go have a look. I would if you called me, but then again I'd let you track it and I'd come along to help. I'm sure it's too late now though. I'm sorry to that.
