pointing_dogs_rule
Archery started in Iowa on Oct 1st. I usually do not go out until it cools off (3rd week in Oct.). Well, this year it cooled off early. We had a northwest wind and 50 degrees this afternoon and I decided to head for a tree. This guy came in at 4:44 and bedded down 12 yards from my tree and stayed bedded until 5:40 (56 minutes). Lots of good video and photos. He appears to be a 2 1/2 year old (very small face). Hope he makes it through all the deer seasons as I would like to see this guy next year. Looks like 17 inch spread and maybe 6-7 inch g2's. Just lacks the mass which would be normal for his yound age. Deer coming in Deer bedded Deer leaving Good luck to all the dog
HunterBlake
had a 6 point come to my tree lick my steps and bed down 15 yards away for a hour and a half.

c_lou
I bet that was hard to stay quiet with him right underneath you. At least you know your scent precautions work.
wtnhunt
Nice pics. Always cool when they bed close like that. Lets you know that you are doing it right! Yep. Have had does and fawns bed down within spitting distance on a several occasions. Cannot recall ever having a buck bed down quite that close to me, but when they are relaxed enough to rest underneath you, you surely know you are doing something right.
