Here is some pictures my buddy sent me. He said it was a quartering away shot and he dropped the arrow right down her opposite leg. His 3 1/2 yr old daughter tracked the deer down the blood trail was so big. I guess it's true the Rage Broadheads do open game like a zipper! Hey guys???

I've seen holes like that from 1 1/8" ABC Sonics. Just never felt the need to post them.

These pics are no testement to Rage heads whatsoever just some hard quartering shots by some fortunate hunters.

Sorry but I've never been much impressed by the entrance/exit wound pics. Kinda disrespectful to the game if that's all that matters to ya. Actually more impressed by the perfect double lunger that looks the same on both sides.:)

This is true any broadhead that goes through both lungs will do the job but disrespectful . . . I don't know about that I call those entrance and exit hole "Very Ethical" Everyone is entitled to their own opinion though, thats just mine.

Whoa....no mention of ethics in what I said. What I'm saying is a hole in a deer is a hole in a deer and I don't care what brand you make it with, or if you choose stone heads to do it with. Blood isn't facinating to me.....perhaps I've seen too much

To me...and this is JMO(as I'm entitled to it), ....if you've been there before than act like it and show some pics with class and taste. If you wanna show how you "blew-up a deer" because it looks cool, then print out the pics and hang them on your walls for all the world to see and when company comes over......see their reactions opposed to if you had cleaned that pic up or took some time to take a quality field photo that captures the mind or place in time.

To boast pics like this is an insult to a tradition many here grew up knowing before kill shots had any bussiness being posted on a hunting forum. It wasn't the equiptment that ultimately layed that deer on its side. More the skill of the hunters dedication. That's where being a hunter trumps gear choices at the end of the day.

i also find it kinda disrespectful to the animal. not much for the devstating effects a broadhead has on the animal but more for the clean kill it can make. i dont like when people say how sweet it was that the opened the deer's body up "like a zipper". nevertheless tho congrats to your buddy on the deer!! hope i have the same luck!! :D

p.s.: i shoot rage 2 blade broadheads even though i dont like the press its getting for the brutal entrance/exit holes. just like its recovery percentage and quick kills even though sometimes that does mean huge holes in the deer

you know what's funny about all this, is that a new hunter could see pics like that and 1) be turned off of hunting or 2) not feel the need to practice a lot before going in to the field because with a hole like that you could hit them anywhere!!!!:hammer1: It is what it is I guess. Oh and I'm still going to use my G5 Montecs.
