WvBowhunterKE
How is it that every other nationality can walk around talking about how proud they are of their race but when a white man does its wrong. Correct me if I am wrong, but is there not a month dedicated to hispanic nationality, or a black heritage month, Italian heritage festival. But what if the white man decided to make a month? We could not, If we did we would be considered racists. Why is it that in our OWN country now days the minoritys are running us? Why the heck should I have to press 1 for English, for gods sake this is America. Have you not notcied it is nearly impossible to call a business and talk to an American citizen? The reason why is because our goverment is to damn cheap to pay Americans the wage they deserve. So instead they hire some foreigner and pay them half the wages, and no I dont want to here any crap about how they need jobs too. If your wondering why is the economy turning to crap, maybe you should open your eyes. If we werent dishing out all of OUR jobs to people that dont even live in our country our citizens wouldnt have to rely on unemployment or welfare. But who cares about us right, lets worry about the 3rd class worlds and give them all of our money. America you need to wake the up and realize we need to take care of our own. What if we decided to have a White Entertaiment Channel, ( ex. BET ) we would be considered racists... And no, not every other channel is for the white man. Ive already heard that crap and it is a line of bull. Why because where not walking around with our pants below our butt crack, and the tv show is about Rape Murder and Drugs? There are African American Scholarships, Hispanic, Native American, but why not one for the common white man? If we did we would be considered racist. How is this right, are we supposed to just roll along with the motions not standing up for ourselves. Worst of all, Why is it that if a man enjoys the outdoors, he loves to hunt, fish, ride, or camp and enjoy the land god gave us we are considered dumb hicks? You have all these people calling hunting murdering? Where the heck do you think you get your hamburgers, Steaks, Ribs, Chicken from. From a living animal, but how is it different for some meat house to kill them then a hunter. Regardless they are being harvested for us to eat. God put them on this planet for our use, and unfortunatley for the people who are against it it will never change. We are going to continue to hunt, fish, ride, and camp out. But its amazing, because we enjoy all of these things we are labeled Racists. People need to open there eyes, maybe look in the mirror every once in a while. The most racist ethnicitys in the world as those of another race. Much to your misfortune, I am WHITE AND I AM PROUD OF IT. If you have a problem with it you can just shut up because no matter what you people try and pollute our society with it will never change. Im not going to give into your ways, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING WHITE AND PROUD. We are forced to respect your heritage months throughout the school systems, the military and throughout our jobs. You all are proud of your heritage during these months you have to celebrate, but why should we not be able to be proud of ours? Not meant to offend anyone, and if it did I am sorry, I am entitled to my opinion. You wouldnt believe the feedback I got on this from myspace. I said nothing to down another race, but just for posting this I recieved about 100 negative comments. I was curious to how many felt the same... ryan1990
If people want equal rights then stop asking for special treatment. Nobody is entitled to jack because of our ancestors. I HATE hearing people who try to be PC by saying African- American or Mexican-American etc. Are we all not Americans? IMO that is far more offensive than saying black, white, blue, brown whatever. Its like saying they arent of the same caliber as the rest of the AMERICANS. We are all equal so lets start acting like it.

IMO that is far more offensive than saying black, white, blue, brown whatever. Its like saying they arent of the same caliber as the rest of the AMERICANS. We are all equal so lets start acting like it. If that were intended against my thread, The ONLY reason I used the words African American or Mexican American , or Even Native American is because that is the name of their tuitions. I by all means have no problem saying black brown yellow red orange or whatever color they may be. It doesnt make a difference to me in anyway. I am tired of having to sit back a bite my tongue just to be walked all over. I hope others feel the same way. We sit over here and fight for the right to speak freely, but yet our society only meets us 3/4's of the way leaving us out. As for Kats response " On how it will never change." Thats because people are too concerned on being politically correct and trying not to offenf anyone. Does the bible not say forgive and forget. Slavery was over...what a hundred years ago...Why cant that whole debate be dropped. But yet people will hold it over your head at the drop of a dime. Its sad but true the only way for any change to come about is if people were to take action. Not that I agree with the change that has been made for the military that they are getting rid of the " Dont Ask Dont Tell Policy." Im completley against it, but look at how long they fought for it. Maybe if we would finally step up to the plate and try and make a change we could...But thats simply my opinion. Its most definently going to take more than one person to speak up to bring change to our nation...as for now I feel its heading down hill at a rapid state of pace. WvBowhunterKE
This whole thread was not over having a problem with another race...I dont see how it is getting changed to something other than what it is. Of course it doesnt matter what ethnicity they are. They are still my brothers and I would take a bullet for them just the same as they would for me. This thread is over how it is bogus how that I a person of the white race says they are proud of it, we somehow become racists.... Color is not personality, it is nothing more than a description...Well what color is your car...red...well then you have a red car...How could you describe someone with out using skin tone...Well he was the dude with hair and the eyes, hes about 6'2...etc...how many people could that describe in a small area...but if you said, he was a white, tan, black, really pale male, about 200 pounds and 6'0 with green eyes and brown hair...it narrows it down. hungry hunter
I do believe that a certain president stated "ask what not your contry can do for you, But what can you do for your country". Most of the folks complaing about you owe us this and that have never served our country in any way, but let the monthly check be late and they are whinning. I deal with it every day in Law Enforcement, and have even asked myself why did I serve in the military for 21 years to be judged and disrespected because of this or that. If ya don't love this country go and become a citizen of what ever country that will have ya. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!:toot::toot::clap::clap: Sorry folks for ranting. It's just to bad so many don't know what " ask what not your contry can do for you, But what can you do for your country" TRULY means!!!! m gardner
I'm proud to be an American myself. I'm considered white because that's what 63.5 % of me is. The rest is american indian. I'm not special because of it. Every stinking group crying about persecution and wanting to be special is ruining our great nation. The idea was to come here and be part of it. Not such the life out of it. If you were brought here against your will as a slave like the indentured servants (alot of which died on the way over) from Great Britain, like my mom's family, or the land was taken taken forcibly from you, like my dad's family is something my family stopped crying about long ago. That's why I'm an American. Not a native american or african american or any other type. And yes,I'm tired of whites being persecuted. I can't believe we let such a crybaby bunch of sissies take this country over. It's going to change abruptly soon. Things will get tough. Just like when folks were told to walk 50 miles to get help after Katrina hit. They couldn't do it. Some dropped dead. Us miserable rednecks won't die. We just go on and on. Swamphunter
Maybe this sounds a little aholeish but I am told I am not supposed to refer to african americans as black, colored or. which of the last one obviously I understand why (although they call each other it). Colored, well I guess that word went out int he 70's/ 80's....but black?? Well, to them, I'm still white, Im still honky, Im still cracker (and dang proud of my heritage at that), but when did we lose the word black to the word african american?? There is still black entertainment tv (BET), and the NAACP still references the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Why do I have to change how I refer to other races, but they dont have to change a thing about how they themselves refer to their own race, or me? Why can't I sing along to rap songs in public and say the n word like the lyrics state. Hey... the song was written and recorded and put into the public... I have EVERY RIGHT to sing it if I choose. (although my wife sees differently) :nono:
johnf
It's called a double standard Swampy. It's our punishment for our forefathers having legally owned property that was sold to them by their own people. I don't understand why people would want to celebrate the heritage of a place that sold them into slavery myself, but hey that's just me. I used to teach at a school that was about 80% black and I was a white guy and there were Hispanics, Mexicans, (not the same), Blacks and Whites. It was a very non-racial place and for the most part very open and honest with each other. I don't really understand why people have problems with accurate labels. I'll be white all my life, but don't see the point of measuring myself or anyone by the color of their skin. I think MLKJ would be appalled at how his "Dream" has been trampled on by a handful of black people who want to throw the race card up every time they get a chance. I've found that the vast majority of the black folks I know believe as he did, that we should all judge one another on the merit of our deeds, not the color of our skin. WvBowhunterKE
Another fine example for you, today I got a message from one of my cousins who attends the high school I went to. Johnstons ( Class Ring Company ) has put into their magazines that you can put " African American Pride " on your ring. Now my cousin Drome asked the teacher, " Well why cant I have mine say White Pride." The teacher sent him to the principle for making a racial outburst. This is wrong in so many ways. 1) It was a question, Not a racial outburst. 2) They preach about equality, but yet they always want to be one up. 3) How is it fair that only the " Now Polictically Correct way to say BLACK. African Americans " can put their heritage upon their ring. This is a bunch of bull and I think its garbage. But yet people wonder why racism is growing amongst the states. Not pointing any fingers, NOT, Obama is not helping the situation at all. Sure, Hes black. Who cares, If he could better our Country more power to him. But thats the point, hes NOT helping he is making it worse. Another fine example, three years back in Preston County during Black Heritage Month the school was going to give out the African American Award for the year. This young white guy was an exchanged student from South Africa. He won the award by votes. The school wouldnt give it to him because he wasnt black. So this whole African American Crap is a load of crap. Its not about being from Africa, its about being Black. Until they are going to use the meaning properly whats the point of it being said. In my eyes its Black. Not African American. But from the first example, Im Irish Scottish and English...So can I be Irish American, Scottish American, or English American...Sure could, but we dont care about the TITLE and thats all its about....Im none of the above, Im an American, and my job is to protect my fellow Americans. To say the least I love it, but it will not be taken for granted. I wont let some Black guy on a power trip corrupt the hard work that our forefathers worked so hard to preserve. Or what why fellow brothers have fought to keep alive and strong...Think about the many lives lost fighting to keep out freedom. But yet some Christian hating d ouche bag whats to steal all of them from us. To him our religion in our Country is a joke. The muslim faith believes that the more Americans they kill over here in Iraq the better their after life will be. Now correct me if im wrong, Obama is a muslim no? wtnhunt
Have been following this topic, folks remember that there are good and bad and prejudice people of all races. There are no doubt some who use the race card every chance they get and often at times when they really have no legitimate reason for it. Very sad to see how crums like Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton, and others can inspire masses to hold grudges or feelings of hatred over what should be long in the past. Move forward and make the best of what is given to you just like everyone else has to do without the expectation of something being owed to you over what is long over. Discrimination cannot be gone when some will continue to hold ill feelings towards others due to history. Of course you really have to be careful and not make generalizations, there are far too many hardworking folks out there of all races and also those who I believe are great people and who truly love this country. That is easily seen when you see that people of all different colors have given the greatest sacrifices we could possibly expect in order to keep us all safe. Have also often wondered how an African person who was not black would be treated if they came to this country in regards to those topics, would they qualify for all those African American programs? Kind of reminds me of a movie from the 80's where a kid painted himself black to get into college, don't remember the name of the movie, but it hit on what is very real. When there are colleges out there that take only black students, how does that make for equality, seems discriminating to me. If there is a desire for equality it would seem that there would not be this need for seperation by themselves from those of other colors. Makes no sense to me really, but that really does not bother me, what does kind of seem I guess unfair is when a kid I went to school with, a good friend of mine, who happened to be black, tells me on my act scores that he would have a full ride as where I had to pay my way through community college. That kind of thing does not hardly seem fair or equal, but it happens. Opportunities should be equal for all and not based on the color of a persons skin whether it be in employment or education or whatever. The muslim faith believes that the more Americans they kill over here in Iraq the better their after life will be. Now correct me if im wrong, Obama is a muslim no? Obama claims to be a Christian, however the church he attended practiced in a manner I hardly believe to be Christian, and I do not believe that Jeremiah Wright is in any capacity a true Christian.
