IowaDeerHunter
Holy cow, 500,000 acres? Right now we own about 900 and are looking at another 240, just hope it brings the right price that can make the payments.
dbHunterNY
My parent's own a 350 acre farm. Between the rest of the family I have access to three other farms. That's here in the northeast, but none of it is really managed so I usually don't have many bucks on my hit list.
kidd
my wife and I have 27 acres....we wanted our own little piece of heaven...have an 80 acre lease, and another 160 acres...not bad for knocking on doors:)
wtnhunt
We only have 60 acres. Have sole rights to the 35 acres next to us. Wish we could afford to buy the farm behind us that is leased out, but they want way more for it than we could ever afford and way more for it than what it is worth. It is only about 400 acres, but that is one of the farms where several of the "brown its down" folks sit on our property lines and whack deer we pass up. If we could keep some of those foks out, we would a lot more likely to see deer make it past 2.5 years old.
Jeramie
I personally have 12 acres and want to buy the surrounding land in the near future. It will put me around 25 - 30 acres. My family's ranch (that I grew up on and hunt) tips the scale at over 1k acres.
dance.and.shoot
I've got 16 acres of my own right now and it's surrounded by who knows how many acres of Government Land. I've been talking to the nearest neighbor trying to get him to sell to me. who knows if that's gonna happen though.
Texan_Til_I_Die
Currently leasing one 7000 acre ranch and one 250 acre farm. Trying to secure a lease on another 600 acres, but haven't managed to get it worked out yet. FYI - If anyone in Central Texas has land that isn't being hunted and you want to lease it out, shoot me a pm.
